(Enough with the screaming! Sheesh! People these days...)

Hello, I'm the creator of this site, Vincent Nguyen. At the point when the website was made I was 16 and was in high school. Don't worry though, I know exactly what I'm doing here. I think....

I was always interested in writing and anything that has to do with science fiction or fantasy elements. So naturally, I got interested in anime. I had to admit that it took me awhile since I never even heard of the concept, but being a bookworm I didn't really get out much.

Actually, the first time I got hooked in anime was on Ranma ½. I went to a friend's house and saw a bunch of other guys watching what looked like a very realistic cartoon. On the television, some teenagers were at a skating ring and there were these 2 guys who couldn't skate too well. The plot seemed straightforward enough and I wondered what the big deal was.

Then the guy with the pigtail went to the bathroom, poured a bucket of water over his head, and suddenly a redheaded girl appeared where the guy was before. I was stunned and I tried to remember if it was actually a guy or a girl that was supposed to be on the screen. I heard of weird things happening in cartoons, but this was too strange for me.

Ryouga shaking Ranma in anger I was speechless and sadly it took until the boy / girl turned the bandana wearing guy into a pig before I could make the water connection. Now, I was definitely fascinated. For those of you who don't recognize the plot, this is from the anime episode of the Anything Goes Martial Arts series, "The Charlotte Cup."

After that it was on to watching more videos, reading manga, reading fanfiction, then creating my own Ranma ½ website. This didn't all happen at once, mind you.

I've always been a writer at heart and while I'm good at plots, it's kind of hard for me to create truly original stories. At least ones that get published anyway. I can take characters from other series and put them in my own twists and situations though. In school, I've always been great at doing story emulations and in copying the styles of various authors.

Do you know how depressing it was to find out that I had the perfect qualities to be a plagiarist? :)

Well, I'm not one for lying to myself (most of the time, anyway) so I decided to put this skill to good use. Besides, for a long time I've thought about making some sort of contribution to the Internet with my writing and so I'm doing that. Unfortunately, while I know some HTML, my artistic skills are virtually nonexistent but hey, if you came to look at pictures instead of reading, you should go look at my links on picture galleries.

Ranma and Akane, ready to fight Anyway, I intend to try to update this site as often as I can with new fanfiction and the like, but I will have to take into account stuff like school and my tennis and Vietnamese lessons. Not to mention my martial arts and kickboxing classes.

Oh yeah, it's a bit embarrassing that it was Ranma ½ that really inspired my interest in the martial arts. Well, Jackie Chan and Jet Li helped a little but you know how it is. I know I'll never get to do amazing stuff like the Kachuu Tenshin Amaguriken (That is extremely disappointing, I tell you that! :) ) but hey, I think it's fun.

The Tendos and Saotomes stomping someone annoying My parents have always encouraged me and supported me in whatever I've wanted to do and it's helped me plenty. Even my sister, Lianne Nguyen, has helped me out a bit in creating this site. She has helped with the color schemes, what looks good and what doesn't, etc. She has also constantly kept nagging at me to get this thing finished! (Of course she's also going to kill me when she reads this part!) :)

Well, that's all I can think of now to talk about me so why don't you just go back to the homepage and check out the rest of my website? I think you'll find it interesting.
