Humboldt State University

I've finished my first semester of teaching here at Humboldt State University.  It went pretty well over all.  My students (for the most part) were great, they all did well.  The other faculty members are extremely nice and encouraging, giving me great ideas to apply to my courses.  This semester, I taught Introduction to Microeconomics and the History of Economic Thought.  Both were fun and challenging.

Eureka/Arcata in general is a good place to live (except there's nothing to do).  I've been doing fine up here so far.

Job Hunting

	I've been job hunting for the future.  I'm considering returning to grad school next year for a Ph.D.  I hope to go to Irving or Riverside, since their programs are a little more my style.  Wish me luck if that's the road I go.
	I've also been considering finding a private job.  But my first consideration is teaching here at HSU another semester.  My priority has been trying to find a local, part time job to cover rent.  Wish me luck with that too.

Painting

Still working on the painting.  It's a learning process.  My new paintings use sand to add texture.  Hopefully, the one I'm working on now will turn out really nice.
