Shampoo Ressource Center (Ranma 1/2 Tutorial)
For those of you who don't know what is Ranma 1/2, well... It's the story of a young Japanese boy named Ranma Saotome who goes on a training mission in China with his father Genma Saotome... However. the training ground where they go is a cursed one. In Jusenkyo, also known as the "Cursed Springs", there are several springs with cursed water in it. Whoever falls in a lake takes the body of who or what ever drowned there a long time ago in the legend.
Even if Genma doesn't speak nor read a word of Chinese, he brings Ranma there to train without knowing of the danger. Ranma knocks his father into a lake, the "Spring of Drowned Panda". A giant panda jumps out of the water. Ranma, caught off guard, is knocked out by his panda-father into the "Spring of Drowned Girl".
Now, when splashed with cold water, Ranma turns into a gorgeous version of himself. And Genma is turned into a giant panda. The only way to reverse the effect is by splashing with hot water the cursed ones. But that's not a permanent cure unfortunately.
Now, going back to Japan, Ranma is supposed to be engaged to marry one of the three Tendo sisters at the Tendo Dojo to carry on the School of Anything-Goes-Martial-Arts. Arriving at the doorsteps as a girl, Akane, who doesn't like boys and who's the youngest among the three sisters, is glad that Ranma is actually a girl because she won't have to carry on this stupid engagement. But while Ranma was taking a hot bath (Turning back to boy), Akane (Convinced that Ranma was a girl) entered the bathroom to take her bath with Ranma-Gril but found a pervert boy (Ranma-Boy) instead. After some explanations, it is decided (By everybody but Ranma and Akane) that they are engaged to each other. Ranma decides to leave for China to cure himself but, teasing Akane about him being sexier as a girl than her, he got smashed on the head by Akane's dinner table-blow. And so the story goes on with many other characters like Shampoo, Ryoga and Mousse...
Ryoga is a guy with no sense of direction, who, after challenging Ranma to a fight, never got the chance of showing up on time for the fight (Because of that lack of sense of direction). Pissed off, he followed Ranma to China and got kicked into the "Spring of Drowned Black Piglet" by Ranma-Girl (Or Ranma-Chan). He hates Ranma for this. Akane however, not knowing that the adorable black piglet is actually Ryoga, take the little pig (P-Chan) as her pet. She hugs him as a pig, sleeps with him and everything without knowing the truth. Ryoga falls in love with Akane but can never tell her his "darkest secret" because he would be "killed" because she is so "always angry"... Ranma is kinda jealous but would not reveal Ryoga's secret...
