~ History: Kaji is a spy for the Interior of Japan, the Department of Inquiry, and his job is to learn about NERV. He poses as Asuka's companion, seeing her safely taken to Tokyo 3. Once there, he gets a job at NERV, and plies Misato and Ritsuko for information. Both are in love with him--Misato since they were lovers, and Ritsuko simply because she is. Neither realizes his two-timing activites between NERV and the Interior. Misato, eventually gets it, and ends his career with one sharp crack.
