I do NOT want to be flamed for anything I write. This is what my twisted mind came up with; so live with it. Otherwise, why the hell are you here? Enjoy!!

Akauri Kou woke up hearing coughing again. The sound of a door
opening, a door shutting. Footsteps. "Okaasan . ." She murmured before
hopping out of her warm bed. Batting the purple sheets off of her as she
scurried towards her door. She looked up and saw the calendar she had behind
it --February 6th. She had two days to come up with a present for her mother.
.but what would she get? Flu medicine?
Yaten had been sick with the flu for the past three days, and it
drove her crazy. She felt bad for Vyse, who stayed up taking care of her,
even though she told him not to. Akauri could easily remember him telling her
as he ran a finger through her bangs, "Sleep. .? Who needs it? I know what I
need right now, and that is to take care of you. I love you and I'm gonna
make sure you feel better. . . .Before your birthday. I promise."
While walking down the dark hall to her mother's room, she could hear the
coughing get worse. She sighed, remembering both her parents telling her not
to go in because she'd get sick too. She didn't care. The 14 year old made it
to her mother's room, placing a hand on the cold, golden doorknob. She turned
it to the left and slowly opened it, peeking in with curious crystal blue
eyes.
As she thought, there was Yaten in Vyse's arms as he rubbed some vaporrub
on her chest. (x.x not ecchi) There was a pile of tissues on the floor by
a garbage bin near her bed and a half empty box of tissues on the nightstand.
The small table lamp was on, letting a pale pink light cascade throughout the
room. The light hit Vyse's face, his small smile becoming very clear now.
Yaten's head resting against his chest, falling in and out of consciousness
due to being so tired. He kept rubbing the vaporrub on her with a hand, his
arm keeping her upper body in a leaning position in his arms. He rocked her,
kissing her forehead before lying her back down on her pillow. He brushed
some strands of loose hair from her closed eyes before kissing her feverish
forehead once more. He took the lime colored sheet and pulled it over her,
then pulling the blanket over her. He pulled up a chair and sat by her bed,
rubbing her hand with a thumb while taking a wet cloth from her nightstand,
placing it on her forehead gently.
Akauri opened the door a bit more, clearing her throat. Vyse's blue eyes
looked up and caught her. "Akauri-chan. ."
"Gomen nasai, otoosan. . I just wanted to see. ."
Before the child could finish, he nodded slightly and called her in. She
smiled brightly as she slowly opened the door just enough so she could enter.
She pushed it lightly to have it shut as she stepped over to the bed. She
watched the scene with a small smile suddenly forming on her pale pink tiers.
The love for her father was slowly becoming more and more visible. She
hated him. She said it once. She was jealous of Vyse for spending so much
time with Yaten, when she wanted to. She loved her mother very much and
wanted to be just like her. This being one of the reasons she came to the
past with Kurai and Taikia. Her cousins and her. They had come back to
protect their future mothers from death. For when that supposed battle
arrived. .no one would know until it was too late.
She stood up straight, blinking a few times as she looked back up to
Vyse. "W. .Will she be better in time for her birthday?. ."
Vyse looked over to her with his eyes softening. "I'm not sure. . If she
stays in bed she might. ."
"What if there's a fight?. ."
Vyse stayed quiet for that one for a bit. "Even still. I have her brooch,
she can't henshin. I can't afford to have her getting hurt. .and I won't."
Akauri nodded. Her tone went more serious as she spoke again. "I. .I'll
take her place at the concert. ."
Vyse's mouth dropped. He had totally forgotten about the concert. "Neh,
neh. .Get Seiya-chan."
"Sou. . SEI--"
"Iie, matte!. . Tell her in the morning."
"It is morning."
"When she wakes up."
"You mean at five at night?"
"You know what I mean. ."
"Hai, at five at night."
"Akauri."
"You say in the morning but she wakes up at ni--"
"Akauri!!"
"--ght. ."
They both went silent for a while, Vyse going back to taking care of
Yaten. Akauri bit her lip as she looked towards the door. She could have
sworn she heard something. This time as she spoke, her voice was slowly
getting louder. "I'll ask her now. ."
"When she wakes up. ."
". .ask her now."
"Akauri. ."
"Otoosan. ."
"Lat--"
"Now."
"You listen to me. You'll ask her when she wa--"
"I'll ask her now!!!" She emphasized 'now.' She looked fearfully
at Vyse who stood up. 'He's gonna hit me. .' She thought.
"YatenAkauri Kou. ."
She shut her eyes tightly. 'He called me by my full naaaaame. ."
She waited, expecting it, when she suddenly heard a door open. "Oii. .
What's going on in there?"
"Seiya-obasan!" cried Akauri as she jumped out of the room. Seiya
blinked, letting her eyes get into focus. The first thing she saw was Akauri
clinging to her leg. She smiled, shaking her head. "Nani yo, Akauri-chan?"
"I can take okaasan's place in the concert, ne?? I'm 5'0" too. ."
Seiya's midnight blue eyes eyed Akauri. She then smiled. "The February
7th concert. . No way in hell she'll be better by then. All right. You can."
"Sugoi!! Arigatou gozaimasu, Seiya-obasan!" she hugged her aunt,
letting go with a smile. She seemed to love her aunts more than her own
father. Which was true.
Vyse stepped out of Yaten's room now, looking incredibly annoyed, and
tired. Akauri narrowed her eyes when she saw him. She hated him again.
Seiya could feel the tension between the two. She immediately looked
around for a way to change the subject. She spotted the clock. '5:19. .'
"N-neh! It's early. . I'm not tired anymore. . Why don't I start
getting breakfast ready?" she said, adding a nervous giggle at the end of her
question.
The other two nodded, Akauri more enthusiastically than Vyse. Seiya added
another nervous giggle before running away from the battlefield into the
kitchen.
Akauri realized she was alone with Vyse --again. She immediately came
up with an excuse on why she should leave. "Ano. . I'll go hel--"
Her face turned red with fear when she realized Vyse grabbed ahold of her
wrist. Her trembling eyes looked into his more serious ones. "Y-you said I
could ask w-when she woke up. . Seiya-obasan's awake now! You can let go. ."
There was a brief period of silence. Then he smiled. "Just like your
mother. . Go help Seiya-chan, all right?"
Akauri blinked, then nodded. Screw the confused questions, she raced down
the stairs after her aunt.
It was now seven thirty. After about ten tries, Seiya and Akauri had
a nice set of pancakes ready to eat. Akauri was watching the sun fully rise
while she and Seiya waited for everyone else to wake up. "Wait till Taiki
sees ME up before her for once. ." Seiya mumbled before adding fits of
laughter. Akauri giggled. Yes it seemed true. Right now, she felt more love
directed towards her mother, aunts, friends and cousins than her father. "Um
Seiya-obasan?. . What do we do about the mess?"
"Taiki can clean it up. Usually, I'd say Yaten. . But she can't
right now. So Taiki's the maid."
Akauri giggled and nodded. The two then heard a pair of footsteps coming
down the stairs. "I bet ya it's Taiki. ." started Seiya. She picked up a cup
and poured it full of flour. "C'mon Taiki. ."
Akauri started laughing, placing a hand over her mouth to control
herself. The footsteps were in the living room now, slowly heading towards
the kitchen. "Rightttt. ." She prepared an excuse onto as why she poured the
flour on her. She smirked with her excuse of, 'You got in my way!'.
Akauri turned the lights off as directed as the figure stepped into the
kitchen. Akauri blinked then screamed. "SEIYA-OBASAN!! MATTE!" It was too
late. A scream, another and a crash. A fog of flour all over the area. Akauri
turned the light switch, and went pale, seeing Seiya and Yaten on the floor
covered in flour.
"Ch-chotto matte, chisaii-chan. . I didn't mean to. ." Seiya
said inbetween giggles. She wiped the flour off of her face while Akauri
helped Yaten up. "Okaasan! What are you doing down here?. ."
Yaten shrugged. "I woke up kinda hungry. ."
Seiya and Akauri's faces lit up. "Try some of our pancakes!" They said in
unison, leading Yaten towards the table. She smiled a bit, wearily sitting
down. The other two leaned in and watched with sparkling eyes. Yaten blinked,
then started to laugh. "You two look so. .funny. .like. .that. ." She kept
laughing, unable to even begin eating. The other two blinked a bit
suspisciously. "Yaateeeen. . You aren't just doing and saying this to stall
having to eat are you?" Seiya asked, fluttering her eyelashes.
Yaten blinked, then laughed even harder. Akauri smiled, this is all Seiya
wanted right now. To see her smile, hear her laugh. She turned towards her
mother putting her elbows on the table as she fluttered her eyelashes as
well, mimicing Seiya. "Are youuuuu?"
Yaten was now laughing uncontrollably, the other two as well. That was
what seemed to have woken Taiki up, because she came down the stairs and came
into the kitchen then. "What's so funny?. . Yaten? What are you doing down
here?. . You should be in bed. . S-Seiya!! What are you doing awake??"
All the questions just made them laugh even harder. "Answer me!"
The laughter continued. Taiki was about to smack them both over the head
when she realized how pale Yaten was. "Chisaii-chan. ."
Yaten tried to stop, looking up towards Taiki. "H-hai?. ."
"Did you realize how pale you are?. . Before you came down here?"
The other two stopped, Yaten did as well. "Pale?"
Taiki nodded. Seiya leaned in closer to Yaten, squinting as she made a
close inspection of her sister. "Ya know. She is pale. . But I, Doctor Seiya.
. can cure you!"
"Ano. . I kinda want to live for my birthday, Seiya. ."
Seiya snickered, shaking her head. "Iie, miete." The others blinked,
watching as Seiya waved her hands around Yaten's head. Yaten raised an
eyebrow, about to question Seiya's health. But before she could, she was
smacked on her forehead, sending her head backwards a bit. "YOU ARE HEALED!"
Seiya shouted to a now dazed Yaten. The other two fell on the ground laughing
hysterically. "Rise my friends, Doctor Seiya still has to cure the patient. ."
"Cure or kill?" asked Yaten, holding onto her forehead. Seiya
smacked her forehead again. "Shuush, semi-healed one!" Fits of laughter were
heard from the two rolling on the ground. "Now my friends, get up off of your
laughing asses and watch as a miracle is preformed!" The other two stood up,
watching Seiya in giggles. "Heal her." Akauri muttered before cracking up.
"Chiii. .!" Shrieked Seiya, a finger pressed on Yaten's cheek before quickly
swiping down. The other two stopped suddenly, blinking. "Ano, S-seiya. .?"
started Taiki who saw half of her older sister's cheek way pale, while the
line Seiya made with her finger was it's normal color.
"Jackass!" Said Seiya before bursting into laughter. "It's flour!"
Yaten twitched, bringing a hand to her cheek, and bringing it back,
seeing it covered in white flour. "Seiya. .?"
"Hai?"
"Then why did you hit me!?" She yelled, reaching across the
table, grabbing her sister's ponytail. Taiki smiled, shaking her head. "Is
there any breakfast yet?"
Seiya and Akauri smiled brightly. "Pancakes!"
to be continued when mun isn't lazy. x.e
