Ken Ichijouji, aka Digimon Emperor:Even though he's just a kid himself, this guy is pure evil. Using his Black Digi-vice, he can stop Digimon from digi-volving or force his slaves to dark digi-volve. He also commands the Dark Rings, which make Digimon his slaves, and later the Black Spirals. When this happens their eyes glow red. He builds Control Spires to keep control of areas of the Digiworld.
The Digimon Emperor is really a kid genius named Ken Ichijouji. This guys good at everything, including soccer. He believes he's the only perfect human being there is, and that's why the Digiworld and everything in it should belong to him.
Ken lives with his two parents
, who once treated him more like a genius than as their son. However, when he starts living in Digiworld because, as the Digimon Emperor, he tries to take over the digital world, they realize how imporant he is to them. When he returns to them both Ken and his parents agree to start their relationship over, with love.
When he was young a digivice came out of his brother's computer. When his older brother Sam 
died in a car accident Ken went back to see the Digivice and found an e-mail for him on Sam's computer. It was from Myotismon (who had just been defeated in the 1st series. Myotismon brainwashed Ken so that he became the Digimon Emperor. It was tthe death of his brother death--and the way that his parents always seemed to be paying more attention to Sam than to him--that started Ken down the path of evil.
In the Digital world Ken meets Ryo Akiyama who is only shown briefly in the American series but appears to have Veemon as his partner.
Recently the Digimon Emperor has been destroyed, by his own hand no less. With the help of Wormmon, Ken realizes how evil he has become, and banishes her alter ego forever. Now he must search for his heart, for the way he was before he became the Digimon Emperor.
Once Ken was the Digimon Emperor. Using his Black Digi-vice, he could stop Digimon from digi-volving or force his slaves to dark digi-volve.
