Censor Joe is the first of the three censors who work at FOX Kids, who make it their job to badly screw around with Digimon episodes. Joe has been working at the company longer than either of his companions - Bob and Steve, of whom he is the self-appointed leader - and has it down to a fine art. As a result, Joe knows CEO Vader, head of FOX Kids, quite well. The three censors are in complete control of all that goes on regarding Digimon at FOX Kids, because nobody really likes them enough to work with them on it, except Jeff Nimoy, but that’s because they chain him up and force him to. Joe is single, but he has someone in mind (see below).

When Joe and the others became aware of the Alt.Fan.Digimon Christmas party, and the fact that the DigiDestined and various Digimon were present, they decided it was on the verge of breaking the boundaries of decency as they defined them - which is to say, those are some damn narrow boundaries. Unsure of how to act, the Censors were thrust into a sudden alliance with Charlene, Izzy’s laptop, who said she would destroy the party if they constructed a new body for her. They complied, and when Sora drunkenly kissed Chris McFeely (who she’s normally slap stupid), the Censors and Charlene made their entrance, and havoc ensued. When Charlene, and her companion, Infermon, were defeated, the Censors fled.

A little later, Censor Joe and Bob took Censor Steve, being the newest of the group, on a tour of the Digimon wing of the FOX Kids building. It was while they were in the Evidence Room that Joe let slip his secret love for Yolei - he’s somewhat obsessed, and will basically do anything she asks him to do. Joe’s obsession with Yolei constantly freaks Steve and Bob out to no end. Joe was then present for the auditions to replace the Digimon cast after they went on strike.

Joe comes from Missouri. His favourite colour is green, and his favourite snack is spicy beef and triple cheese burritos.
