The digidestined put the pieces together about the new digidestined. All the "newbies" anxiously awaited a visit to the Digital World which was postponed by supper. The next morning, the new digivices were introduced and after stalling a nosey teacher, Mr. Fujiama, they were off to the digital world. Once Davis meets up with his new friend, Veemon, Biyomon, Patamon, Tentomon and Gatomon arrive to help fight off some powerful Digimon controlled by the Emporer's dark rings. When Davis comes to, he realizes he has been captured along with Veemon by the infamous Digimon Emporer. As the rest wander through the forest, their digivices go off, leading them to a nearby temple where they find two Digi-eggs, one with the Crest of Knowledge and the other of Love. The others weren't able to lift them, but Yolei and Cody did, and Hawkmon and Armadillomon came out to greet their new partners. Yolei was reluctant to accept Hawkmon as a partner, but Sora and Izzy convince them. Cody and Yolei made their new Digimon digivolve for the first time. They then decided to go find the others. The Digimon Emporer attempts to enslave Veemon, but it is foiled by the Tempest Wing attack of Halsemon (Hawkmon's Digivolution). Once freed, Veemon digivolvves into Flamedramon. Together, they defeat the Emporer's evil Digimon. When they return, their Digimon go back to their "in-training" forms and decide to beat the Emporer tomorrow.
