Episode 39: The Battle for Earth
Agumon and Gabumon have now digivolved into Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon, their Mega forms. But even they are having trouble fighting Venommyotismon. Pretty soon, the other Digimon digivolve to help Angemon, Angewomon, and the other Mega digivolved Digimon already in the battle. All of the Digimon attack at once and Venommyotismon seems, finally, to start dying, but they've only seem to have awaken "the beast within". Which is literally another beast inside of him. Out of nowhere, the digidestineds' crests start glowing and restrain Venommyotismon so it can't move, and then they attack Venommyotismon one last time. This time for good. Venommyotismon is destroyed forever and all of their parents wake up from their trances. Just when they think everything's alright, they spot an island, floating in the sky, upside-down. Izzy spots a mountain in the sky that looks like Infinity Mountain, and he tries to get Tai to see it, but Tai can't see anything... that is except for an airliner that's suddenly going down. Birdramon, helps save the airplane from crashing, but something more important is happening. The continent in the sky really is the Digital World, and Digimon are crossing over into the real world. The digidestined, decide the only way to save both worlds is to go back to the Digital World, to the source of the problem.
