The digidestined are seen at a river, getting water, talking about Myotismon chasing them. They call the other kids and Gennai comes who tells them of another digidestined joining them. He is about to tell who it is, but suddenly forgets which doesn't leave the digidestined very happy. But he does know that the new digidestined lives in Japan. Gennai has bad news also; Myotismon is planning on capturing the eighth digidestined and plunging both worlds into darkness. Later on that day, Agumon and Palmon are disguised as a couple of Myotismon's henchmen Digimon. After Demidevimon reports to Myotismon, Gatomon appears to Myotismon saying she's found the most ferocious Digimon ever. Myotismon needs to understand the meaning of some cards to open the doorway to Earth and soon he does and the doorway opens. The children walk in just in time and their Digimon digivolve. Gatomon is a tough openent to defeat though. As the kids try hard to get through the barrage of Devidramon that Myotismon throws at them, they don't make it to the doorway soon enough and it closes... with Myotismon in the real world.
