Well, my latest writing experience has taught me two things.

Item the first: I don't think I was meant to write m/m in any detail. Mostly because once things get hot and heavy, I start wondering what's possible, how things are done, etc. And no matter how close we are, there is no way in hell I'm going to ask my best friend about gay sex. Because he'll probably want to know why I'm suddenly making these inquiries. And there is no way in hell I'm going to reply, "Oh, I'm writing erotica about Sailor Moon villains."

Although, in fairness, I can't write yuri to save my life. It's been argued that, as a woman, I should have some idea how things work down there and what works. Still...

No one take any offense to this(and please don't send me any instructive e-mails)but even years later, in the back of my mind there's still that, "Well, I understand how two men would do it, but two women? What would they do?" mentality(yes, I know what they do...)Which brings us to...

Item the second: Dan Savage was right. A couple weeks ago in his advice column Savage Love, he said that, with heterosexuals, it's all about penetration.

And, while I probably shouldn't be setting parameters on my sexuality based on the thoughts of a gay man, he's right.

Case in point: two people have oral sex. Did they have sex?

My answer: No...
