There are two people to blame for this little section existing: Cartoon Network, because by showing the last episode of SuperS on Villaintine's Day they made me realize that I've been slowly going through withdrawal(while I'm sure Bitches 5 are fine and lovely ladies, Eudial and Mimette make me want to punch their teeth down their annoying little throats, although the ballet of avoiding words like "Messiah" and "Holy Grail" is keeping me amused.) and MarioKnight's Bishoujo Online, one of the only places I've managed to find that has downloadable fansubs of everything that isn't commercially available in subbed form.
Anyway, half of episode 148 has let me make a marvelous discovery: watching the dub and viewing Fish-Eye as a man anyway did not leave me insane. Although it came very close. The one where he takes off his top would seriously have messed me up for like if I wasn't already that way.("Okay, I think it's a man, and it sure as hell looks like one, but they want me to believe that they're showing a topless chick on TV..." Yeah, I'm American. We don't show dead-on naked boobs--even though there weren't any in this situation--on weekday afternoons. We don't even show bare bosoms on prime time. Or in the late night Girls Gone Wild ads)
Oh, original point? Hmm...okay...well, in some places, the semi-flirtatious dialogue between Tiger-Eye and Fish-Eye seems dirtier in the original(or I'm just not remembering it) but I also noticed that things have been added by CWI.
"Added, Zelda?" you ask. "Why, dubs never add! They only subtract..."
Yeah. BTW, how long is an episode of Sailor Moon in Japan? I heard once that it was an hour, but nothing much seems to be missing...nothing that would add up to twenty-eight minutes.
Subtract <---Not up yet
