Episode 144 Okay, the Trio's dressed like people, Fish-Eye is the only one who isn't showing his bare chest(no, they didn't add a shirt. I'm not interested in such things) First, I'd just like to say that I really love this episode. Because everyone goes to the beach. The fact that Hawk-Eye and Fish-Eye go mostly just to work on their tans and watch Tiger-Eye fail miserably(well, not happily the way they usually do...) Anyway, in the dub(from what I can remember), Tiger-Eye, Hawk-Eye, and Fish-Eye are sitting in their makeshift bar. I think Tiger-Eye's eating at this point, and Hawk-Eye bitches him out for getting him(Hawk-Eye) and Fish-Eye involved in his little promise(I think it's that if he fails, Zirconia can get rid of all three of them. Yeah, Tiger-Eye, friends would be those two people you royally screwed over near the beginning of the episode...) Well, bitches out might be too strong a word, but he's clearly pissed. I'm probably doing that thing I'm always afraid of doing--i.e. assuming way too much--but I remember Hawk-Eye seeming unusually protective of Fish in this one. Meanwhile, over in the sub I downloaded... Tiger-Eye: I will perform your honorable order, no matter how hard it would be, Master Zirconia! Zirconia: Do you swear it? Tiger-Eye: I swear it for the pride of the Amazon Trio! Bow, Fish and Hawk exchange nervous glances. So...CWI added the fact that Tiger-Eye told Zirconia they could be bumped off? Is this accurate?(I watch my fan subs with the volume down and don't understand a damn word of Japanese!) Or is it just the fact that the way English is, translations can be extremely different? As for the adding the death possibility, if it is just a CWI thing, I...well, I don't blame 'em. Sure, the Trio are three proud SOBs, but why would a promise like that freak them out? Moving on, here's the other scene I was talking about: Hawk-Eye: Hey, Tiger-Eye, are you okay using your big mouth? Fish-Eye: Right! How are you going to excuse yourself if you don't get that girl? Tiger-Eye: I won't bother you guys!
