Serena discovered Luna one day after some boys had been teasing the small black cat. Luna was wearing bandages on her forehead and when they were removed, a crescent moon marking appeared there. The cat followed Serena,eventually discovering the young girl to be Sailor Moon and gave her the pen that allowed her to transform. Luna also discovered the other Sailor Scouts and gave them their transformation pens.
Artemis had been a companion to Sailor Venus when she was Sailor V. Artemis assists Luna in training and working with the Sailor Scouts. He is a white cat, and like Luna, bears a crescent moon on his forehead.
Diana is Luna and Artemis' daughter and Rini's kitten from the future.
The Luna Sphere (or Luna Ball, as it was sometimes called) is Rini's main source of defense and a helpful companion. It looks like a balloon shaped like Luna's head. The Luna Sphere can become whatever Rini needs at the time. The Luna Sphere is also Rini's means of communication with Sailor Pluto, in the future. It also demonstrated the ability to attack those who endangered Rini. The attacks were only about as strong as Luna and Artemis managed (a delay), but sometimes a delay is good enough to allow escape. The Luna Sphere is Rini's friend. It will try to help her no matter what. When she became Wicked Lady, it even switched sides to be able to help her. She then used its powers for her evil attacks.
Molly is an only child. She is one of Serena's friends from school. She got involved with Queen Beryl's henchman, Nephlite, and turned him against the Negaverse. Sailor Moon was about to destroy Nephlite, but Molly got in the way of the attack. Nephlite was moved by this, so moved in fact that when Zoisite's monster tried to attack Molly, Nephlite intervened with an attack against the monster. This labeled him as a traitor and allowed Zoisite to finally eliminate her competition. Molly was broken up over Nephlite's death for some time, but she later got involved with Melvin.
Melvin is a nerdy friend of Serena and Molly's. He had a crush on Serena, but is now more interested in Molly. He demostrated his feelings by trying to save her life when they were attacked by a monster from the Negaverse. Melvin is very intelligent and goes to the same special school that Amy attends. He also likes Vanilla and Prune milkshakes
Usagi's mother cares about her, but she does sometimes get frustrated with Usagi's 'unique' personality.
Usagi's father is a small player in the series. He is a good father and cares about both his children.
Sammy is Serena's kid brother. The two fight about as much as normal siblings do, maybe a bit more.
Raye's Grandpa runs a temple and teaches martial arts. He was a carrier of one of the Rainbow Crystals. His temple was one of the Crystal Points that Rubeus tried to take over.
Chad is a musician who is studying martial arts under Raye's Grandpa at the temple. He has shown a romantic interest in Raye and has tried to protect her when she's in danger.
Andrew is a boy who works in the arcade that Serena and friends frequent. Serena had a crush on him for some time before she became interested in Darien. When Serena had just met Lita, they went to the arcade and Lita developed an interest in him. As with almost any boy, he reminded her of her old boyfriend. Andrew is Darien's best friend.
When Darien was looking desperately for a way to make Serena hate him (he was sure she would be in danger if they stayed together), he came upon the idea of pretending to have another girlfriend. Lizzy is Andrew's little sister and Darien volunteered to take her home so he could 'accidently' bump into Serena. When Serena saw them, his plan didn't quite work. Serena just became very depressed. She later talked to Lizzy and found out the truth, so she then knew that Darien really did care about her and had some reason for avoiding her.
Helios is also known as Pegasus. Neherenia caught Helios for his golden crystal and his spirit became Pegasus to protect dreams and help Rini. Helios became good friends with Rini.
Miss Haruna is Serena's teacher at school. She is constantly dealing with Serena's sleeping in class, not paying attention, and doing poorly on tests.
Robert was Patricia Haruna's boyfriend from episode number 51, Detention Doldrums. We never get to see his face or hear his voice even though he is shown in the episode.
Reta was Andrew's girlfirend. She was a research student in the school of biology. She was going out with Andrew for about a year, before it was revealed that she was a Rainbow Crystal carrier.
This Rainbow Crystal carrier had a crush on Amy when he got transfered to her school. He was her equal in intelligence and even beat her out for number one in the class. Greg possesed the ability to see the future. He also knew everybody's secret identity and all about them. He moved away soon after he lost his Rainbow Crystal.
Ken has always been there for Lita. Since they were kids, he was her best friend. When he was attacked by a cardian, he was more concerned with Lita's safety than his own.
After all the attacks and being alone, Rini was finally starting to adjust to life in the past. Melissa was her good friend from school. When the Negamoon attacked Rini's school and turned her classmates against each other, Rini refused to leave Melissa and was able to purge her of the dark energy.
Malachite took over Countess Rose's finishing school to trap Sailor Moon. She was to find who the most clumsy, worst mannered girl was and capture her to see if she was Sailor Moon.
Miss Lambert was Serena's sewing teacher. She started acting oddly, and the students found out that she had just become engaged to Herbert. It was then that Nephlyte targeted her for her energy. Under his influence, Miss Lambert broke off her engagement and was not herself at all. When the Scouts destroyed the Nega-monster that was draining her, she got her energy back, became her old self, and married Herbert.

Herbert was a computer salesman who was dating one of Serena's teachers. He proposed to Miss Lambert. She soon started acting oddly and broke off the engagement. It turned out to be Nephlyte's doing. Once the Nega-monster he sent was destroyed, Herbert and Miss Lambert got married.
Zoisite went looking for seventh Rainbow Crystal. Her search led her to a little girl, but to everybody's surprise it was her cat that was the crystal carrier. Hercules was a big white cat that had a crush on Luna. He saved her several times from groups of stray cats that were after her.

When Ann & Allan decided to target babies, we were introduced to Jordon. He was a little boy who apparently lived in Serena's neighborhood. Serena and Darien ended up babysitting him while his mother was stuck in the hospital. They managed to get him to take his first steps and say his first words. His first words were 'Bye Darien. Bye Meatball head'.
Katie was chosen as Nephlyte's first victim. She was a talented tennis player at Serena's school. Molly's mom and her mom have been friends with each other for a long time. Molly and Katie grew up playing together and are close friends as well. Katie is one year older than Molly.
Powers while possessed: Shot Molly and Serena with an energy blast from her dark racket, just as she reached her peak energy level.
Mica was a friend of Sammy's who won a contest for doll design. Her mother was also an award winning doll designer. Nephlyte came to her house as Max Field Stanton. He offered to buy the dolls that Mica made. The Nega-power made Mica change. She became mean and very different.

Yet another one of Malachite's plans to trap Sailor Moon led him to enlist the aid of this gold metal winning, skating team. Lita had a crush on Misha, and that made Jenelle (even while possesed) jealous.
When the girls went skiing, Serena wanted to win the Snow Princess contest. Miss Stormy-Kincade was the Snow Princess from the year before and was under Malachite's control. She transformed into a monster and tried to trap them.
Mr. Baxter was a gardner at Fairview park. Amy had known him since she was a child. There were plans to bulldoze the park, so Nephlyte decided to force Baxter to his maximum power, then drain him.
Powers while possessed: Controlled animals to attack the construction workers.
Mrs. Winston is Jordon's mother. She took the brunt of the attack when a cardian drained the energy of everybody at the day care center.
Nancy is a reporter that works for the Daily Surprise newspaper. Her big story was the split up of the Sailor Scouts. She was under the influence a monster from the Negaverse when she reported that story. She dresses like a hippy and usually works on big political stories.
Peggy Jones was an artist who went by the name of Lonnie Loni [spelling is a guess]. The Rainbow Crystal she carried gave her the ability to dream up ideas for paintings. She painted several pictures that closely resembled Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask together. Peggy met Serena and Darien and had them pose for her. Zoisite soon found out that she was a Rainbow Crystal carrier and attacked her. After Peggy lost her crystal, she decided it was time to use her real name when she painted.
Peter Fisher was a photographer who won the National Photography Contest. He attended Raye's school. The Negaverse soon choose him as a victim. Peter went out to the edge of a cliff take some pictures of a sunset, but he slipped and nearly fell to his death. Nephlyte appeared just in time, in the guise of Maxfield Stanton, and grabbed his arm. Peter's life was saved, but at the same time Nephlyte marked his camera and turned Peter into a pawn of the negaverse.
Powers while possessed: Camera could trap people inside it.
This heiress to a largest jewl collection threw a party. Queen Beryl thought that it was possible that here Emperial Crystal might be the lost Silver Emperium Crystal that she needs to free the Negaverse. At the same time, the Scouts thought that she might be the Moon Princess they were searching for. She neither had the crystal, nor was the Moon Princess.
Saffron is the child star that got everybody interested in becoming big stars. The Negaverse sent a monster to impersonate her and capture all the girls who wanted to become stars.
