Hey I figured that since Dave Letterman can have a top ten list, so I can I, dang it! So I have created my own personal top ten lists of why each FY characater rocks in their own personal way. I am going to be different from all the fy fan sites out there and not lean towards a particular character. In my opinion, all the bishonen of fy are cool. (even if I think otherwise. I do happen to have a particular favorite character). I just know how much all of you hate fy sites that eventually end up as shrines to a certain characer, like Tasuki or Tamohome. So I am going to avoid that on this site. And now, without further ado, the Fushigi Yuugi top ten list!
Top Ten Reasons Why Tasuki Rocks
1. The hair. Gotta love the hair.
2. The fangs
3. Lekka Shinen!
4. The tessen. Need we say more?
5. His tough on the outside, tender on the inside approach.
6. His hilarious antics when he is drunk
7. He wears black so well.
8. His fight scene with evil Tamohome!
9. The fact that he hates girls but will fight for the death to protect them.
10. His short temper
Top Ten Reasons that Nuriko rocks
1. He has good taste in men. (Even if he is one)
2.How many cross dresses do you know that can lift more than twice their weight? I rest my case.
3.His fights with Tasuki
4. His snotty on the outside, gentle on the inside approach.
5. Her, I mean, his hair.
6. The fact that he’s a woman at heart
7. The fact that you want to hate him when you first meet him
8. How much cooler he gets after he loses the ponytail.
9. ARMBANDS!
10. His devotion to Miaka.
Top Ten Reasons that Chichiri Rocks
1. NOOO DAAA!
2. He appears the most in FY as super deformed.
3. He is one of the few seishi who do NOT fall in love with Miaka
4. He looks equally good with or without the mask
5. His seiyuu songs. Now there is some good stuff there.
6. His hair. ‘nuff said.
7. His imitation of Nakago. Gotta love that
8. He is the only one who can calm down Tasuki
9. Love the prayer beads. (One of these days I’ll make myself some)
10. The way he pops out of his hat when you first meet him
Top Ten Reasons That Hotohori Rocks
1. The sword. Definitely, all the way.
2. His hair when he lets it down
3. He’s got power and prestige and good looks to boot.
4. He’s had such a sad childhood, you gotta feel sorry for him
5. HE’S HOT!!!!!!
6. His fight with the evil Tamohome
7. His mellow attitude except when anyone does anything to Miaka
8. He looks good with or without the little box hat
9. His devotion to Miaka
10. Did I mention that he was hot?
Top ten reasons that Mitsukake rocks
1. He never has anything bad to say about anybody or anything.
2. He never has much to say about anybody, or anything.
3. He is a great physician (duh!).
4. He saves Tamohome’s life, among other things
5. He does the right thing in spite of his personal feelings
6. He handles the fact that he gets none of the attention when compared to the other seishi very well.
7. He too, escapes the horrible misery of being in love with Miaka.
8. He never lets anything get to him
9. Three words: TAMA, TAMA, TAMA! (As in the cat. But you knew that)
10. The fact that he too, like Chiriko, is another filler character Watase Yuu stuck in there, but he is cool anyway. (see #8 on Chiriko’s list)
Top Ten Reasons that Chiriko rocks
1. I can say this in three words: one sharp kid
2. He saves everyone’s butt.
3. He gets a lot of respect from everybody, even if he doesn’t do much.
4. Rather then be possessed he takes his own life to save his Miko.
5. His Seiyuu songs are much better than everybody elses. (Except for maybe Chichiri’s)
6. How many other kids do you know that can pull of a funky hairdo and pink hair and not get laughed off the face of the planet! (See #3)
7. The location of his conji. So I have a thing for feet so what?
8. Watase Yuu needed a filler character to end up with seven seishi, and she could have picked worse. I mean, c’mon look at the Sieryuu seishi. They are one ugly bunch of people, especially Ashtare and Tomo.
9. He is really mature for his age.
10. He too, is one of the seishi who does NOT fall in love with Miaka.
Top Ten Reasons that Tamohome Rocks!
1. EVIL TOMAHOME!!!!!!
2. The fact that he can take twenty men at one time and come out of it without a scratch
3. The way he puts up with Miaka. (Even though she doesn’t disserve him)
4. The way he treats his family
5. How he goes crazy over money
6. How he goes psycho when his anger rises and then starts throwing Qi balls.
7. The fact that he is such a typical anime character but you don’t realize it at first.
8. When he loses the ponytail.
9. Nothing gets to this guy when he is pissed off enough
10. His thorough thrashing of Suboshi (the little punk disserved it)
