Dood! It's been what, three months, since I last updated? Yup, seems so. Well, this isn't really an update; more like a notice. This site, if you haven't noticed, has been abandoned by me quite some time ago. Why? Like many people, I've lost interest in Pokie (especially when I found out what incredibly *better* anime there are out there). So, I rested from site-makin' for a little while, but have now come out with a new site:

Lilliputian Hitcher!

It has absolutely nothing to do with Pokie, cuz I uh, can't stand Pokie nomore. Instead, it's on a bunch of animes (Eva fans will - or should... - recognize the name), with lots of downloads, full cds (good ones, not crappy ones), End of Eva, Excel Saga eps, fanfics & art, dub rants (kekeke), a freakin' radio station (^_^), shitloads of pic galleries, and other cool stuff that makes it uh, good...? I'd like to think so. A couple of the sections of *this* site (by this, I mean, this Pokie site here) have gotten deleted somehow; I dunno why, and it frightens me cuz I dun't like being hacked and if that has happened then that's bad. But, what *is* left, I'll keep up here for your uh, viewing pleasure, or whatever. Just let it be known that I'm not workin' on this site nomore, cuz I've got my hands full with this new one. Please visit it, and please show it to all your friends, cuz when I get more hits it boosts my sorry ego and that would be very nice for you cool people who visit my Pokie site to do, kies? ^^() Thankies and buh bye!

News for Saturday, April 21st: Well, we've been getting next to no hits and have been plummeting on the topsites lately, and it has come to mind that maybe I should write an update...so here we are! Sorry, I still don't have the 3rd movie summary up; but yo, I have a life and there are reasons I've been slacking off here lately >< sorry. Okay, anime first. New epi is today, and it's the one they skipped for some randomly odd reason a while back where Ash ditches Squirtle. I find it strange that WB would want to release the movie (with no Squirt) and have lines in the show with Ash saying "Oh yeah, I don't have Squirtle anymore," yet they didn't air the episode where he leaves yet. Intelligent, isn't it? --; Well, that's WB for ya. At least they showed the episode at all, tho; they still have no plans for airing the Slowking special >< dang. Anyway, the new epi this week in Japan involves some old guy who can talk to Pokies; you can see the clip if ya want. Now for cards...interesting stuff here...WotC has announced the rules for the East Coast Super Showdown, and they're...well, weird. Here you go: Decks may only consist of cards from these sets and these sets ONLY: Team Rocket, Gym Heroes, Gym Challenge, Neo Genesis. Promo cards may be used except if they have identical versions in one of the restricted sets, or any pre-release or foil-stamped cards Ya can't use Sneasel from Neo Genesis. WotC is claiming that this decision was made "in order to generate new deck styles and deck ideas for play." In other words, they're ensuring that their dropping sales take a sharp rise. Their reason for omitting Sneasel was "The decision to remove Sneazel from this environment does not indicate that we consider the card a problem for normal constructed play. We did feel that, in this environment, Sneazel presented too strong a Pokemon choice to be ignored by skilled trainers and that he would be included in most decks. We felt this would not allow decks ideas to be fully realized, since Sneazel would be chosen as the optimal Active Pokemon. It is our belief that with the release of later sets, that Sneazel will not populate decks so fully as to curb good deck construction concepts." In other words, they omitted it because it's too strong. Again...intelligent, isn't it? Hehehe...^^; Also in TCG, Neo 4 has been released in Japan a week ahead of schedule (unlike the constant delays and hectic babble that goes in here, lol). Included is this cute little 3D Togepi, which is rare here but will probably be mass-produced when Neo 4 hits US shores. Oh well...also is a rare Shining Raichu card, but I haven't been able to find any pictures of it >< sorry. Oh well...if it's anything like the Neo 3 Shiny Magikarp and Gyarados cards, it'll be *really cool lookin'* and that's all that counts. In other news...Pojo's Pokemon magazine is going to stop running after it releases it's June 2001 issue in May (for whatever reason magazine companies do that, I don't know, but they do). The website is staying up at least, but I'm sure a lot of you will be missing the magazine. I personally won't; never liked Pojo, but the site has some dang good stuff (it's #1 on practically every topsites I know...it sure'd better be good ^^;). Oh well. Pojo Pokie Mag., may you R.I.P. News for Monday, April 9th: Who would've thought that the Emperor of the Crystal Tower dub was actually able to contain it's plot? I sure didn't expect it to, but whadda ya know. Not only that, but 4Kids and WB have apparently decided to - get this - suck up to the otaku of America. I guess they've realized that since they've lost their 6-month kiddie audience that it's time to move on to pleasing the crowd that they should've been going for in the first place. They've left all the original background music perfectly intact, both pronounced Entei correctly and provided him with one kickass voice, and, most importantly (in their ignorant little minds), gotten Lisa Ortiz (the voice actress of the English dub of Lina Inverse) to voice - and get this - LISA, Ash's little battle-buddy. And while Ms. Ortiz has *plenty* of talent, 4Kids seemed more than happy with her portrayal of Lisa (the movie one, not the person) voiced *exactly* like Lina. Gee. At first I was pleasantly surprised to hear the voice of one of my favorite anime characters featured in a Pokie movie, but when Lisa let loose a big ugly Kirinriki, my thoughts were shattered and I realized just how sleazy 4Kids was acting. Too bad they don't realize that in order to gain otaku as your audience, the LAST thing you do is take a well-respected anime character's seiyuu (whether they're Japanese or not), slip it into the body of a 12-year old nomad and hand it a Pokeball. But, some things people just don't understand. Oh well. The movie on a whole was good (plot! plot! plot!), but I really wish they hadn't cut out so many scenes. If they were trying to attract otaku, why the hell *wouldn't* they leave in such pleasant scenes as Pikachu being burt to a crisp with tears in it's eyes? And what abou both Ash and Pikachu being crushed by a big falling spire? Where's the logic?? Two things still irk me, though, that I haven't yet mentioned: the name "Molly," and the new version of the Johto theme song. "Molly" isn't what you could call a bad name - in fact, for a little girl, it's quite cute. But when you have the even cuter and much more innocent name of Mii to work with, Molly is a sin. Besides, it sounds too American. Can't have that, nuh-uh. Not in anime, anyway. But in the whole, I can't bring it upon myself to say that 4Kids did badly to name Mii "Molly." Dang! As for the theme song...same thing. It wasn't bad, but it sure wasn't any good, either. OK! Is a better song on the whole in the first place, and I pray for the day that Bandai swipes ahold of 4Kids and teaches them a thing about music: Mainly, to LEAVE IT THE F*** ALONE. Then they go and put out a soundtrack for it...aah, scary scary. But, as with the name "Molly," I can't bring myself to call the song bad. Why? It really wasn't. I hated it, but it wasn't really bad. I now leave my movie ranting with this message to 4Kids... SUB SUB SUB! Not that I'm against the TCG or anything, because I'm not, but - do we really need any more cards? Cuz we're getting 'em. Oh wait - I already said that a couple weeks ago. Damn. Well anyway, Japan's already put out two promo DECKS, named the Waninoko (*^_^*) and Chikorita decks, with 40 cards each. Now...why couldn't they give Hinorashi a deck? It's frikkin' descrimination, I tell ya. Just because kawaii Hino doesn't have real eyes doesn't mean it doesn't deserve it's own deck. Same goes for Brock - you never really see anything with Brock on it. I'm sure he'd have plenty more fans if they made more stuff with him on it than they did with that idiot Ash. Oh, but wait - Hino is cute, and Brock's...a hormone-driven freak. ::sigh:: And I thought I had a real case. Isn't this Pichu adorable tho? ^_^ I luv it. The Marril looks kinda...drunk though. Hehe. Oh well. TV Listings are updated for the week; would you believe it, I'm actually on time. The only new episode is "Hour of Houndour," and OMG, I already have an episode summary up for it here. It's from the Japanese one, so names are different and stuff, but I'm sure you'll be fine readin' it. Good epi; they'd better not screw it up. A bunch more mp3s are up - if you guys haven't heard Ai Chuu Seishin from Excel Saga, DOWNLOAD IT NOW! I swear, it's just so good ^_^ you will love it. On a technical note, it seems that there's this weird window that loads along with the rest of the page as a popup sometimes, taking you to twistedhumor.com or something. Guys, I have *no* idea why it's there. It sure isn't supposed to be. The only thing I can think of is that it's Angelfire's idiotic attempt to make more money. Oh well; sorry 'bout that, guys.
