Still in the resort town of Porta Vista, Ash-tachi find an injured Horsea. It spurts ink into the water, forming the image of a Tentacool and a Tentacruel. It seems to be warning the group about something, but they can't tell that. Misty rescues the Horsea, just before a huge ship explodes out a little ways in the water. Misty sends her Pokemon out to go and rescue them, and we find out that it was the Tentacool.
Soon after, Ash-tachi are dragged over into a building where a weird looking lady named Nastina explains to them that she'll give them food, and a million dollars, if they get rid of all the Tentacool that are blocking her workers from building a hotel on the water. Misty loves Tentacool very much for some reason, however, and refuses to participate in the hunt. They all go back outside and set up a little pool for Horsea to swim in.
An intercom system goes on, and Nastina announces her million dollar reward for removal of the Tentacool. A horde of people come running down the street, to be met by Nastina, who's in a tank. Team Rocket appear, and Nastina gives them the job, saying they look like they could get it done (lol). Their plan is to pour a poison all over the Tentacool so they'll die, sell them at a fish market, and have extra money on top of the million dollars they'll get from Nastina.
As usual, their plan backfires, and their poison causes one of the Tentacool to evolve into a Tentacruel, as well as grow to an enormous size. It begins to destroy the city, as do the Tentacool. Nastina tries to shoot it with her tank, but the bullet bounces right off. One of the Tentacool takes Meowth and. as Tentacruel holds them in the air, communicates with the humans telepathically. He says how the humans took their home away when they tried to build the hotel, and now he's showing us that same pain of loosing your home.
All Ash-tachi's Pokemon try to reason with it, but nothing works. Misty finally gets up and tells it off, and the Tentacruel finally agrees to cease destruction. But it leaves them with a warning that the humans are to stay away from their home, or else the Tentacruel will return and have no mercy. Nastina, however, is not satisfied. She takes a bazooka and shoots the huge Pokemon, who in return whacks her into the air, where she lands on her cousin Bruletta's newly-built restaurant, knocking it to the ground ^^
Ash and Co get on a ship toward the next gym, or wherever they want to go, and Misty reveals that she's keeping Horsea as her own Pokemon, and much to Ash's dismay she uses his pose. Behind, in a barrel attached to the boat with a rope, Team Rocket follow wearily behind.
