What's New With The Project?

01/06/2002 – Web site URL changed to www.skullsquadron.com. Upgrade Patch 1 for R5-Alpha Released, with complete Robotech Masters Conversion.

11/26/2001 – Version R5-Alpha Released, with full ROBOTECH Music Score and upgrade patch capability

07/22/2001Mutli-Player Support is for REF is Beta testing.  Connection software for the TCP Server is included with R3-Beta4 along with some minor revisions and is v1.07 compatible.  More good news is that Camsys.org is working on a v1.08 version of StarDraft and StarGraft.  These will be utilized for the R4-Alpha version when completed.  For Server information, see www.projecttpc.com.

06/28/2001The first revision in nearly two months is finally here. Version R3-Beta3 attempts to fix some of the bugs in the R3-Beta2 while work continues on the next generation of REF MODs that will be version v1.08b compatible.
There is no timeline for the first R4 Alpha as we are still waiting for a v1.08 StarGraft fix.

04/22/2001 - Second Revision to R3 Beta fixes a major bug! See Release Notes on the Download page for details. Unit Descriptions scheduled for major overhaul due to the numerous changes since R2 Release.

04/18/2001 - Preview Version of R3 Beta unveiled! Official Release notes to come.

04/06/2001 - A Pre-Release test version of the R3 Alpha is now available for previewing. Since R3 is still a Work-In-Progress, there are no official release notes to go along with the file, and is meant strictly as a 'sampler' while work continues on the official R3 Beta Release. Feedback on the R3 Alpha will play a critical part in the success of the R3 Beta.

03/26/2001 - Version R2 Beta 4 released to test the initial graphical work of Version R3. Destroid Graphics added to the Mod for test purposes, while work continues on the R3 version.

03/07/2001 – ROBOTECH: Expeditionary Force version R2 Beta Released for Beta Testing! All of the StarGraft EXE Editing to the Button Sequence and Technology Structure for both Terran and Invid Campaigns. New Units are now Buildable and Playable. New Music Patch Now Available.

02/26/2001 – With Windows 98 back on my system, it’s time to go ahead with the StarGraft editing.  I am still looking for expert advice on this aspect.  The Robotech Music components have been upgraded from the original Lo-Fi Mono to Hi-Fi Stereo, but this greatly increases the file size.

02/10/2001 – ROBOTECH: Expeditionary Force version R2 Alpha Released!  After consideration, I decided to release the changes I had made to the R1 Beta thus far because they were so many!  The Button Sequence will be the primary focus of the R2 Beta.

02/08/2001 – Windows 2000 is preventing me from using StarGraft to edit the building sequence, so REF seems to be at a bit of a standstill.  There have been some more modifications to the Beta, but I was hoping to wait for version R2 as a next release.  We will see…an R1 Gamma version?

02/07/2001 – I have created a Smacker video from the MPEG Movie trailer, but am having difficulty getting StarCraft to read the file as the Game’s intro.  Not to mention that the “compression” has enlarged the file to close to 10 MB!  Most likely a back-burner add-on that isn’t worth the trouble.

01/25/2001Robotech R1 Beta Version released!  A big improvement over the first Alpha (which was kind of a mess).  Terran’s should now be fully functional will all units, structures, and button menu items labeled properly.  All Brood Wars units and abilities brought over.  Still looking for StarGraft help to redefine the building sequence to match the new technology tree. (Version R2)

01/22/2001 – New Screen Shots added!  Special Thanks to Robocon.org for the permission to use these original images from the Series.  Invid Unit Descriptions are now completed, thanks to some of the new pictures.

01/11/2001Invid Campaign story and Units added to the Page.  Descriptions are still not done, but now you can see what the enemy looks like.

01/09/2001 – Alpha Test upgraded to R1a.  Some typos corrected, and the Alpha Battloid (Goliath) Weapons upgraded accordingly.  Also, the patch had “undone” the cost reductions to the Academy and the Science Facility that came with Blizzard’s v1.05.  These have been corrected as well.

01/08/2001 – ROBOTECH Movie Trailer Available.  This is not my creation, but it’s a good intro for those unfamiliar with the Macross Series.

01/05/2001 – ROBOTECH R1 Alpha test version available!  Unit Names and New Weapons Specs defined for testing in the existing StarCraft environment.

01/02/2001 – This Web Site. The purpose: To start a community of ROBOTECH fans to assist in the development of a really cool game.

12/27/2000 – After getting my hands on some cool editing programs, I developed some ideas regarding how the game should 'feel', and tried a few of them out. Added ROBOTECH Music to the existing version of StarCraft.

12/22/2000 – With time to relax over Christmas for a change, this bright idea hits me...how about making a StarCraft-like ROBOTECH game?

12/16/2000 – Finished Graduate School. Phew!
With my MBA in hand, it's time to start working to make a difference in this world!
