"Hello there! I'm Silver Star, Gold Star's fun-loving, have-fun-all-the-time compadre! I love to chase after boys, be cool, and work for Anime Ascendant! It's the coolest! When Jade and Kin aren't looking, I get to chat and post things! How fun! When I'm not working on the site, I have fun and bug everyone!"

"Hi! I'm Gold Star, but my school name is Kin. I'm the more serious, once-in-a-while kidding interviewer in Anime Ascendant. I keep a cool head and keep things calm, but sometimes, I have my moments. I don't worry so much about things, like Jade does, but I don't want things to collapse. When I'm not doing anything with the site, I like lounging around."

A Little Background on Anime Ascendant
The mascots of Anime Ascendant were founded by me, Jade, a fellow anime fan.

Though the mascots and the website were created by me, the name and magazine was originally my friend's idea. She was making a magazine called Operation: Anime, and was going to feature one of my mangas into it that my best friend and I worked on. My best friend and I were helping her and she wanted a site along with the magazine. I began building it without any website experience, but I had help with it through GURLpages' Webmonkey.

Originally, my friend wanted an index site and poll page for the magazine site, but I put a couple of Magic Knight Rayearth and Sailor Moon image galleries up also, with a DBZ fanfic.

Nearly a year went by before I returned to the site to retrieve some forgotten pictures from the decks of the "dusty" Operation Anime Star Page website. It turned out to be such a disgrace, I didn't change anything in it.

That was the first Operation Anime site.

My friend didn't bother with it either until I met her on one of those occasional moments that I do. She looked through my "new" art portfolio, and I asked her about the magazine. She said that since we didn't have sponsors, there couldn't be a magazine. Instead, she was making an online magazine and scan the mangas up there. I just shrugged my shoulders and continued web-designing.

Then I had an opportunity to make up another site since my family moved again without a computer.

When I finally received my computer 2 years from the opening of the 1st Operation Anime, I began putting together the site.

Then I was thinking, "Hmmm. The name for the site," and it didn't take long for me to come up with Operation Anime. I took that up, and drew up mascots for it, The Double Stars, who are individually known as Gold Star and Silver Star, and began putting up my site.

There's a big credit that goes out to my friend. She actually got me started on making an Operation Anime site. Arigoto!!
