Cardcaptor Sakura

Story: 10-year-old Sakura Kinomoto leads two lives. During the day, she leads a normal life as a 4th grader with roller blades, and daily bouts with her older brother. At night, she captures Clow Cards, enchanted creatures with magical powers that could ultimately destroy the world if not returned to the Book of Clow. With the help of her best friend, Tomoyo, and the great Creature of the Seal, Kerberos, Sakura has to do all she can to capture these mystical beings while keeping her life as a Cardcaptor a secret to the rest of the town.

Sakura Kinomoto is a happy, outgoing 10-year-old who excels in physical education. She lost her mother when she was three, but her mother's passing has only helped to make Sakura stronger. She loves to help others, and she always has a sympathetic ear for those in need. Although she seems to have magical powers, Sakura is frightened of ghosts and spirits. Despite her accidental push into becoming a Cardcaptor, Sakura genuinely wants to stop the Clow Cards from destroying the world.

TOMOYO DAIDOUJI

Tomoyo, the daughter of a wealthy corporation head, is a strange child with a heart of gold. Also Sakura's best friend, Tomoyo gives Sakura the moral support that the Cardcaptor so dearly needs. She makes the clothes that Sakura wears when she captures Clow Cards, and she also films Sakura capturing cards. Although Tomoyo seems the most innocent type as they come, she is also very intelligent, and offers Sakura healthy advice to several situations.

Syaoran isn't a person to get along with, especially when he meets up with Sakura and her friends. As a distant relative of the Clow creator and a trainee in magic, Syaoran finds himself to be higher than humans with minimal magic usage. Even as the descendant of one of the most magical sorcerers known to magic users, Syaoran can be very kind sometimes, but he always dismisses his kindness as a thoughtful method. He is Sakura's opposite, choosing his battles wisely, and his weapons even wiser. He is short-tempered and judgmental, but at the same time, he wants to protect those around him.

Obnoxious and loud, Meilin voices her opinions quickly. Judgmental and easily frustrated, Meilin is a Card Captor smitten with Syaoran. She followed him from China in hopes of showing him how good of a Card Captor she is. Although she doesn't have as good magical abilities as Syaoran, her martial arts training is almost on par as Syaoran's martial arts. Because of her constant presence with Syaoran, she shares some of his characteristics. She is short tempered and surprisingly thoughtful, but she is careless when showing her affection for Syaoran.

TOYA KINOMOTO

Magical Abilities: Can see spirits, ghosts
As Sakura's older brother, he picks on her constantly. Despite his nagging, he loves his younger sister, and doesn't hesitate to protect her. He can see ghosts and spirits, which makes him suspicious of the stuffed animal known as Kerberos.

Yuki Tsukisiro

Magical Abilities: None, thus far
Yuki is Toya's best friend, though they are complete opposites. Where Toya is impatient and judgmental, Yuki is patient and kind. He smiles at everyone, and treats everyone equally. He lost his parents when he was young and lives with his grandparents. Yuki helps those that needs to help and he always takes in everything without judging it.

KERBEROS

Activities: Eating and flying
Magical Abilities: His full powers are locked away until Sakura can capture all of the Clow Cards.
The eating machine known as Kerberos, once a great magical creature, helps Sakura with identifying Clow Cards. He is her guide to determining a Clow Card's special ability before capturing it with other Clow Cards. Although his magical abilities are next to nothing, he can still sense the presence of a Clow Card. He also keeps Sakura's focus on the Clow Cards whenever she diverges from the topic. Although the stuffed animal won't admit he actually cares about Sakura, he shows his affection here and there.
