All right, a lesson in who I am and why I do what I do. My name is Jade. I am the webmistress of Anime Ascendant, once called Operation Anime.

I got into anime and manga when I was twelve. Then, Sailor Moon and DragonBall Z were the only anime seen on non-cable television. I woke up early every Saturday to watch DBZ. During that time, I didn't know that DBZ and Sailor Moon were from Japan and called anime.

When I learned what anime was, I went on a search for it. I made friends in school who let me borrow their magazines. I bought my own magazines and manga. I subscribed to Tokyopop when it was a carbon copy magazine.

I started Anime Ascendant's predecessor, Operation Anime, as an online magazine for a group of my friends. Unfortunately, she had to scrap the project. I learned HTML from a Webmonkey on Gurlpages and found Angelfire as a free web host. Here's a list of the projects I have done. Some of the links don't work.

Operation: Anime Magazine Page which is my first ever website. Created 11/24/98.
The Japanimation Poll Page, another one created recently, around 8/21/00.
Connection to Jade's Anime Help Center, which was at first Jade's Sailor Moon Friends' Page, but turned out stupid, so I changed it. Created at the end of Summer 2000.
The Anime Help Center, the one most people know best. Created 10/31/00.
The Goddess Ring, a goddess ring gone online. Created 1/14/00.

So why do I do all of this? I like to help others! I love anime! So that's why I renamed the site Anime Ascendant. The site rises above the usual anime sites out there.

Thank you!
