The space colonies have grown tired of the oppressive rule by Earth Government, a corrupt organization ruled by people who have no real interest in the colonists or their well-being. Their rule is unjust and unfair, but not opposed... Resistance forces in the colonies have created five special Mobile Suits (robot-like vehicles) called Gundams. Five young pilots have been selected to sneak these Gundams down to Earth and begin a guerrilla campaign that will end the Earth Government's rule forever. In a well laid plan, Treize, leader of Oz, manipulates the Gundams to foil the Alliance leaders attempt at negotiating a peace with the Colonies. Heero attempts to make amends for accidentally killing the pacifist leader Noventia, but will his attempt to gain forgiveness cost him his life? Meanwhile, Zechs' warrior nature craves a decisive battle, so he has the Wing Gundam rebuilt and heads to Antarctica to wait for Heero.
