So as you can tell by the intro text there... This is a horror series... Creepy most definately. I however love these 4 episode OVA/OAV series to bits!! The petshop is run by a man only known as Count D, a very suspicious looking character. At first I thought he was a woman, until he opened his mouth that is.

In each of the episodes someone, who usually has lost a loved one gets a pet who resembles their loved ones. From there, the story unfolds, but for good? or bad? You can be the judge...
In anycase this is a very good 4 episode OVA/OAV series and I suggest it to anyonw who loves horror or anyone who wants to listen to the message these episodes convey. Petshop of Horros has a total of (4) 25 minute episodes, below are the covers of each Japanese VHS. Each of these VHS contain 1 episode. Click the thumb nail to see a larger version. In English you can get 2 episodes each on 2 VHS, or all 4 episodes on 1 DVD.
