This series is based on a world wide legend. A heavenly maiden came down from the heavens' to bathe in a hot-spring. A hunter was passing by and saw her. He thought to himself that he must have her for his own, and so he stole her magical robe which would allow her to return to the heavens... When the maiden asked the hunter if he had taken her robe, he said no, and then he went on to make the maiden into his wife.
She bore his children, and yet all the while she only wished to return to the heavens' which she missed greatly. Then one day, one of her children was singing a song to her, about the wear-abouts of her robe. She went off to find it, and returned back up to the heavens.
The story-line is basically the same in each culture, though some names may change, like they do in this story. These heavenly maidens are called Tennyos'/Sennyos'. There is a slight twist to this story however. In this telling of story, a young girl named Aya, and her brother Aki, have no idea on what's in store for them. This legend is about to unfold right infront of their eyes, and they will become a deep part of it.
