The Digidestined had gathered. The new Digidestined gathered around the computer as Izzy opened the gate. "Go, it's open."
First Taki, then Msaada held their digivices to the screen. The Sarran and Ashi went in once Taki and Msaada were gone. They were followed by Tarini and Chan. Jihan went on her own. Finally, Vari and Glen went through.
The others were about to follow when the gate closed and a message appeared on the screen. Izzy read it out loud. "Your allies have been trapped in the Digiworld. You will not be able to free them." He turned around and looked at the others. "It's signed the Master of Digimon."
"Oh, no," Allison moaned. "We've got to find a way in."
"We will," Izzy said.
Jihan looked around warily. "No sign of Sardrimon. Anyone find this place familiar?" No one did.
Before Sarran could suggest that they get moving, Sardrimon was upon them. Yet at the same time, the Digidestined's Digimon showed up. They attacked, hoping the end the threat of Sardrimon once and for all.
"Horn Crash!"
"Air Blast!"
"Stream Flash!"
"Tsunami Smash!"
"Wolf Slash!"
"Pyre Blaster!"
"Feline Thunder!"
"Wind Cyclone!"
"Fire Strike!"
Although Sardrimon was weakened, he was still too powerful for them. "Power Smash!" The Digimon were forced back by Sardrimon's attack.
Taki yelled, "They've got to digivolve!"
"Power of Courage!"
"Trisermon Courage Star digivolve to...Courtrisermon."
"Power of Hope!"
"Bordemon Hope Star digivolve to...Hopebordemon."
"Power of Friendship!"
"Geramon Friendship Star digivolve to...Frigeramon."
"Power of Reliability!"
"Daraimon Reliability Star digivolve to...Redaraimon."
"Power of Knowledge!"
"Lupimon Knowledge Star digivolve to...Knolupimon."
"Power of Perseverance!"
"Aurimon Perseverance Star digivolve to...Peraurimon."
"Power of Light!"
"Parmon Light Star digivolve to...Liparmon."
"Power of Love!"

Sardrimon wasn't intimidated by the digivolutions. "Power Smash!" None of the opposing Digimon so much as rocked.
"Fireball Crash!"
"Zodiac Chain!"
"River Thunder!"
"Claw Missile!"
"Wolf Thunder Slash!"
"Blizzard Thunder!"
"Lightning Smash!"
"Feather Hurricane!"
"Lily Blaze!"
The combined power of the nine attacks destroyed Sardrimon. "We did it," Sarran triumphantly yelled.
The Master of Digimon closed his grey eyes, which were hidden behind a mask. "You have failed me, Sardrimon. Fortunately I have plenty of time to take care of them. Let's see, who shall I send next..."
Ashi looked around at the others. "It isn't working. We can't get back."
"No way," Glen said in disbelief. "Are you sure?"
Ashi nodded. "I've tried."
Msaada looked at the others. "So what do we do now?" Her sheltered past was almost painfully clear to Jihan.
However, it was Vari who replied, "I don't know. I just don't know."
Izzy shook his head. "Nothing. I've tried to get them out every way I could think of, but nothing worked. And the gate won't open, so we can't get in."
"Keep trying," Tai said. "I know you can do it."
"I'll try," Izzy replied.
