Izzy looked over his shoulder at Allison. "Can you get a hold of Mimi?"
"Sure, but why?"
"I determined where the digivice with the Crest of Sincerity is."
"Cool."
Mimi looked at the map in confusion. "So where is this?"
"The west coast of the United States," Izzy said.
Mimi looked over at Allison. "You'll come with me, right?"
Allison laughed ruefully. "You don't understand," she said. "I'm from the East Coast. The West Coast is so...different, I guess. But yeah, I'll come. I don't know how much help I'll be, but I'll come."
Not too many days later, Allison looked over at Mimi. "Let's leave the West Coast. Any sign from your digivice?"
"Surprisingly, yes."
"Let's go, then," Allison said. As they followed the signal, Allison looked a little surprised. "Mimi?"
"Yeah?"
"Notice we aren't leaving the international section of the airport?"
"You know, you're right. Hmmm..."
They continued along until Mimi said, "We're close."
"We're close alright. Close to the gate we leave out of. And the next flight out of it is our flight."
"Alright," Mimi said. Her eyes scanned the crowd around the gate. "Allison?"
"Huh?"
"What about that boy sitting alone?"
"Hey, maybe he's the one we're looking for." Allison was glad that they were speaking just loud enough to hear each other over the airport noise. She thought for a moment, then said, "Listen, maybe you should go talk to him and I'll check our bags."
"Sure." Allison walked away, weaving through the crowd. Mimi walked over and sat down in an empty seat next to the boy. Minutes later, she said, "Hi! You look lonely."
The boy looked over at her. "I'm just getting a little homesick."
"Already? Where are you headed?"
"Whereever this plane's going. I'm a foreign exchange student."
"That sounds like fun."
"I think it will be," he said, shifing in the seat. As he did so, Mimi caught sight of a flash of green on his belt.
"What's that," she asked, even though she thought she knew what it was.
"What's what?"
"What's that on your belt?"
He reached back and removed the green object from his belt. He held it out and Mimi saw that it was a digivice and it had the Crest of Sincerity on it. "I know what that is," Mimi said quietly.
"You do?"
"Yes."
At that moment, Allison walked up. "Bags are checked," she said.
"Good," Mimi said.
The boy looked at them both in confusion. "What's your name," Mimi asked.
"I'm Glen."
"I'm Mimi, and this is Allison. We both know what that object is. Do you want to know?"
Before he could answer, the plane began to board and they were forced apart.
Glen caught up with Mimi as they got off the plane. "So what is it?"
"It's called a digivice," Allison said. She saw TK standing nearby and wondered why he was here.
TK walked over. "Are you Glen?"
"Sure am."
"I'm TK. I'm going to be your host while you're here." Allison couldn't help thinking this was an incredible stroke of luck.
"TK, can I talk to you for a moment," Allison asked.
"Sure."
Allison smiled charmingly at Glen. "We'll be right back." She led TK away from Glen and Mimi. "Glen's Digidestined," she said bluntly when they were out of earshot.
"What? No way!"
"I'm not kidding. I saw the digivice."
"Well, I certainly didn't expect that."
After Glen got settled in at TK's and all three of them got a bit of sleep, TK brought Glen over to Izzy's. "Glen, this is Izzy, a friend of mine."
"Hello," Glen said. Izzy was absorbed in opening the gate to the Digiworld, but he did answer.
"Hi." Silence reigned until the gate was opened. "Are you ready," Izzy asked Glen.
"Ready for what?"
Izzy didn't answer his question. However, TK said, "Hold your digivice to the screen."
"Huh?"
"To get where you need to be right now, hold your digivice to the screen."
"If you say so." Glen held the digivice to the screen. Then he was gone.
Allison stepped out of hiding. ""So?"
"He's in the Digiworld," Izzy said.
"That's good."
The moment Glen arrived in the Digiworld, he spotted Mimi waiting for him. "Glen, this is Palmon. Palmon, meet Glen."
"Hiya," Palmon said.
"Hi," Glen responded, then turned to Mimi. "Am I seeing things," he asked quietly. "A talking plant?"
Mimi shook her head. "Not a plant, a Digimon."
"A Digi...never mind."
A Digimon that looked like an extremely large ladybug appeared. "Look out! Sardrimon's coming!"
Glen looked at Mimi. "Who's Sardrimon?"
"A Digimon you don't want to meet," the ladybug Digimon said. "Follow me!" They ran after it, hoping they could escape Sardrimon.
They weren't successful, or else Sardrimon knew a shortcut. Mimi looked at Palmon. "Who is that ladybug Digimon?"
"That's Labumon. He's a honest Digimon with the heart of a warrior. Watch out for his Fire Strike attack."
Labumon's eyes narrowed at Sardrimon. "You'll lose, Sardrimon."
"Don't think so, twerp." As Sardrimon spoke, a green star formed from light emitted by Glen's digivice. Glen grabbed it and held it tightly in his left hand.
"Fire Strike!"
"Power Smash!"
Sardrimon managed to avoid Labumon's attack, but Labumon wasn't so lucky. The Digimon was hit with the full force of Sardrimon's attack. Without knowing why, Glen threw the star towards Labumon.
"Call out Power of Sincerity, Glen!" Mimi's voice hit Glen's ears.
Glen drew a deep breath. Then he yelled clearly, "Power of Sincerity!" The star glowed as he spoke.
"Labumon Sincerity Star digivolve to...Silabumon."
Silabumon was bigger than Labumon. The star had become armor for him, although the spots on his back were still evident. On top of his otherwise insectoid head was a waterlily.
"Petal Cyclone!"
The waterlily's petals, while never disappearing from the flower on Silabumon's head, wrapped up Sardrimon very tightly. "Now phase 2," Silabumon cried. "Lily Blaze!" Instantly the petals on Silabumon ignited, burning all of Sardrimon's thick fur off and setting him free.
"I'll be back," Sardrimon yelled before running away. Glen smiled triumphantly.
A light shot from Silabumon to Glen's still open hand as Silabumon dedigivolved to Labumon. The light became a small computer with a green star in one corner. "Good job, buddy," Glen told Labumon. The Crest of Sincerity faded from his digivice."
"Glen?" He turned to face Mimi. "I know it will be a lot to ask of you, but will you help us? We need your help to save the Digiworld and our own world."
"The stakes are that high, huh?" Mimi nodded. "Then I'm in. You'll need all the help you can get if I'm right about the odds. Besides, how could I leave Labumon to possibly be destroyed when we just met?
"Thanks," Mimi said. "Now let's go home, Glen."
Will the new Digidestined be able to defeat the Master of Digimon? For that matter, will they ever be able to defeat Sardrimon? How did the Master of Digimon block digivolution? And who is he, anyway? Tune in to find out.
