Tropical Amazons - The Presidential Dinner

RNRPG: Tropical Amazons: The Presidential Dinner
Started By: Perfume

The party of six nerimites were gathered in front of their hotel. Perfume, Silk and Happi looked absolutely stunning in their outfits. Alex, Scarf, and Keisuke were looking great in their tuxedos.

As they stood there in the warm glow of the streetlights, a limo pulled up. The driver got out and opened the door for them. He was the secret service agent they had met earlier today.

He smiled at the group as they stepped into the limo.

Happi-Chan wasn't too happy about going to the dinner as a woman. What choice did she have? She sighed and entered the Limo.

Alex waited for the females to all get into the car, then stepped in himself.

Silk spoke softly to the driver, who at first attempted to resist the conversation, but after a few minutes of wheedling, he talked to Silk like a long lost friend. She managed to glean several tidbits of information. The dinner was to be seafood, and the company fairly small, mostly the presidents advisors and a few people of local prominence. And the Secret service agents wanted to hear their end of the tale of the hotel problems.

Perfume smiled softly. She always felt out of place in social situations. She hoped that everything would be alright.

Scarf sat there feeling uncomfortable in his tux, and looking how he felt. Sure he looked good it, but he wasn't used to how tightly it fit his form. He wished he had brought one of his fine silk shirts.

Happi tapped Scarf on the shoulder and gave him a reassuring smile. "Trust me, you don't feel nearly as out of place as I do."

Silk finished her conversation with the driver and turned back to face the others. "Having a change of heart about what outfits are 'nice', Happi?" she laughed, noticing that the little bells sewn into her outfit jingled lightly when her head shook. --This could get annoying, but for now, it's nice.-- she thought to herself as they roared down the parkway to the opposite end of the island.

Perfume smiled slightly at Silk's comment. She was certain that Happi would learn a lesson or two from this entire situation.

The limo arrived at the front entrance of the renaissance hotel. The dinner part was going to be in the ball room.

"Let's just say that I won't look at Mini skirts the same way again." Happi responded to Silk with a sigh. "Now the media is going to see me like this."

The secret service agent opened the limo door for the six passengers. They were quickly ushered in to the hotel and towards the ball room. Security was ultra tight considering the events of the morning.

There was a receiving line waiting in the entrance alcove. President Clinton and his wife were waiting inside the ball room.

Alex walked in, and noted where the agents were posted, and subconsciously was checking over likely spots for snipers. Detecting none, he smiled, and continued in, waiting to be seated.

Silk followed the secret service agent, who introduced her to the first couple. "this is the young lady who found the bomb in her room."

"Pleased to meet you." Ms. Clinton smiled, bowing awkwardly, "Thank you for what you did. We're sorry we couldn't have been better with our security... I didn't catch your name?"

"ShiUn Ke. But most people call me Silk." the healer smiled brightly. These people were human, and there attempts at a bow were pathetic to her eyes. They bowed much to low considering the relative status, even though they owed her a boon for the bomb finding. --Oh well. Can't expect Americans to know how to bow.--

"That's very pretty. What does it mean? I'm afraid my Japanese is very bad."

"I'm Chinese. and My name translates roughing as 'Poem Luck'." Silk said, giving the alternate translation. These people didn't need to know that her real name was 'Death Luck'. It tended to unnerve people who heard it.

The secret service agent introduced the others. "The rest if the group along with Silk here fought and neutralized most of the gun men who attacked the hotel later." the agent paused for a moment "They stopped them without guns themselves, they are all remarkable young people."

Starting from left to right he introduced them. "Perfume, Scarf, Happosai, Keisuke Yamada, and Alexander Funryu."

Perfume smiled and bowed to the president.

Happi smirked at the irony of being called a young person. She also bowed to the president, conscious of her low bustline. She recovered her bow quickly, but noticed that the President's eyes stayed on her bustline for a little too long.

-- This is all I need!--

--Hey, Happi, I think he likes you.-- Alex noted the play between the President and Happi, and managed to keep a straight face. "Pleased to meet you, sir." Alex reach out, and shook Clinton and the First Lady's hand.

--No need to rub it in Funryu!-- Happi shot back at him.

Alex was rolling in mental laughter. --I'm not the one who want to do some rubbing here! That's him.--

--That's quite enough, you two.-- Silk cut into the mental conversation. --Alex, did you check the balconies... something... just a wrong feeling..--

Alex replied, --Of course. There's no one here that wants to take a shot at the Pres, or any of you. Relax.--

--Alright alright-- Happi agreed as she broke out of the mental conversation. As the president shook hands with the rest of the group, Happi was straining her magical senses to see if something was amiss. She too was a little paranoid after the events of the morning.

Perfume smiled as she greeted the president and the first lady. She glanced at Happi and Silk out of the corner of her eye. The two were acting rather paranoid, but she couldn't blame them. She herself was watching her ass (pardon the pun) she didn't want a repeat of this morning.

She quietly took her seat next to Scarf. She was sitting to the right of the first lady with Scarf right next to her. Happi was to the left of the president with Keisuke sitting beside her. Alex and Silk were across from the president and the first lady. It seems that the secret service thought certain people were couples.

Alex didn't mind the seating arrangements in the slightest, determined on trying to have some fun and not worry about income figures, percentages, and investment options, and try to just be a normal teenager. He reached out and gave Silk's hand a gentle squeeze. --Having fun, anata?--

--As much as can be expected.-- Clinton insisted on trying out his pidgin Cantonese on her, since she was the only one of the group that really spoke the southern dialect easily. --If he calls me a 'purple tree' one more time I'm going to laugh out loud. I THINK he's trying to say 'young lady' but his intonation is off.--

Alex mentally chuckled, as he confirmed Silk's thoughts. --This promises to be amusing,-- was his reply, wondering if he would try to speak Japanese or just go back to English.

Happi was having all sorts of problems tonight. She was struggling with English and trying not to laugh at the President's brutalized Chinese.

The hardest part was keeping President Clinton's hands off of her knee. She was getting tired of fighting him.

-- Silk-Chan, Help PLEASE!!!--

--One Hormonal Lobotomy, coming up.-- Silk's fingers rubbed Alex's palm absently as she found the hormonal centers of the presidents brain and messed with them. She fixed it so he wouldn't be finding anyone attractive for about a week, and gave him a twitch whenever the name 'Monica' was said for good measure. His right arm would twitch whenever the name was mentioned, or anything that sounded like it. Silk had a cruel streak.

--Thank you Silk-Chan,-- Happi was very much relieved by Silk's changing of the president's heart.

Perfume was still very nervous about the entire situation. She did not have an arsenal of social graces. She was too busy trying to keep from embarrassing herself to notice much else.

Alex, being the grandson of the Trickster, decided to get the ball rolling on this joke. "Excuse me, Mr. President, have you heard the new song from the movie 'Romeo Must Die?' Monica featured in it."

The president's right arm twitched, right on cue as Silk promised. "I can't say that I've heard that one before."

"I though Veronica was featured in that one, not Monica." Happi-Chan chimed in. Causing the President's arm to twitch twice more. Veronica sounded close enough to elicit the reaction.

Perfume noticed the twitching of President Clinton's arm. She could also tell that Silk had done something to him. His arm twitched when he heard anything ending in "nika". This promised to be fun.

"Mr. president, I always wondered." Perfume started in her accented English. "Do you have any musical hobbies, Like playing the Harmonica?" Perfume smiled as the president's arm twitched. This was fun.

Happi-Chan was struggling now to keep from laughing. She was really enjoying what Silk did to the President. Happi was about to embarrass the entire group, she was trying hard not to bust out laughing.

As the group had fun, chatted and ate with the president, they began to calm down a bit. After an hour or so, they felt almost completely comfortable with the dinner party.

What they did not know however was that the festivities were being watched from across the street.

A man dressed in a black bodysuit was peering though the scope of a high powered sniper rifle. The body of a dead secret service agent was at his feet. The President would not escape this time.

The sniper drew a bead on the President's forehead and began to squeeze the trigger....

Alex was laughing at a joke the the First Lady made, when he saw something odd...a red dot like a laser pointer on the wall. Then the dot swept to the President's forehead. "Incoming fire!!!" Alex leapt from where he was and tackled the President, just in time to cause the bullet to miss Clinton, instead it lodging in Alex's shoulder. "Got a sniper outside, on the rooftop across the street."

Before Alex could even finish his sentence, Silk, Scarf and Keisuke were already almost out the door, followed by several Secret service agents. Silk had a mental bead on the person behind that bullet and was homing in on him, running and jumping obstacles like cars and fences with the skill only a Nerima caliber martial artist possesses, closely followed by Scarf and Keisuke.

The sniper was running hard, but he'd had to bypass his first cutout point because of the pursuit. he didn't have time to start his car before they would have caught up to him. He dropped the rifle and poured on the speed, but it wasn't enough. Scarf did a flying tackle as they reached a grove of palms and took him down. Silk waited until the men had the sniper pinned before she applied a paralysis point. Several minutes later the secret service came running up.

The group did not notice the assassin's accomplice. Happi disabled them with a Spirit bind spell and dragged them to the secret service.

"This is getting really annoying."

Alex got up from where he had tackled the President, and slapped the front of his shoulder hard, popping out the bullet. "Tell me about it."

Perfume helped the President to his feet and dusted him off a bit.

"You sure have alot of enemies sir, they certainly turned our vacation into a nightmare."

"Either lots of enemies, or one with a lot of money to spend. Which makes sense." Silk said as the trio that had gone running came back in.

Silk knelt down beside Alex and put her hand on his shoulder. "Going to be okay?" she asked softly.

Alex shrugged...and regretted the action, as it sent a new wave of pain through it, and caused a bit of blood to squirt out. "I'll live. But if you could heal this up, I'd appreciate it."

The President's medics gasped as Silk's hands showed Alex's blood, and were trying to get her to come away and get gloves so it would be sanitary. Silk ignored them and concentrated on Alex's shoulder. The bloodflow stopped, and the wound started to close. "This is going to hurt." she said regretfully to Alex as she popped his shoulder back into place with an audible SNAP and finished closing the wound, coaxing the tensed muscles around it to relax. "It'll be a little stiff for a while, Alex." Silk said with a small smile.

The Medics stood there and stared. One of them held out bandages, which Silk used to wipe the blood from her hands and the worst of it from Alex's tux.

Alex barely made a sound as Silk did her work, and he rubbed his shoulder before hugging her close. "Thanks, anata." The President recovered from the action quite quickly.

"I'm just as happy as a pig in mud that you young people were here tonight. That makes the third time tonight that you have saved my life."

He smiled slightly, "How about I fix your vacation by bringing you to Camp David with me? You will have a great time there."

Perfume raised one eyebrow. She of course had heard of Camp David, it was the president's vacation home. It could be fun, but she wasn't sure if she could handle another vacation.

Silk looked at the others in the group, including Alex, who was still wrapped around her. "I guess?"

Alex looked at Silk, and replied, "Sure."

Happi was standing behind President Clinton shaking her head vigorously. There was NO way she was going ANYWHERE with Clinton.

After having the presidents offer translated into Japanese Scarf responded "Just on one condition, that it's calmer that this vacation."

"I've been in war zones calmer then this vacation." Silk said, looking around. "I think dinner is shot. Can we go back to the hotel now?"

Alex nodded in agreement, pulling his girlfriend closer to himself and gently rubbing his sore shoulder. "Not a bad idea at all, anata. I know I came to work, but this isn't the job I had in mind."

"I have to agree with you Silk." perfume interjected with a tired voice. " Nerima is peaceful compared to Hawaii, I don't think I'll miss this island."

"Mr. President, you're not having any sort of mid east peace talks at camp David in the near future, are you?" Silk asked with a concerned voice.

"no nothing like that." The president sweatdropped he didn't expect resistance to his suggestion. He wasn't going to push them. He smiled and handed Silk and business card.

" Whenever your ready to come down, call my press secretary he'll arrange every thing."

the secret service began moving everyone toward the waiting limos. The president turned about to the group of nerimians just before he got into his car. "I will see yall again won't I?"

"sure thing Mr. president." Happi smiled as President Clinton's limo drove away. "In about a million years." She added under her breath once he was gone.

"You know this has to be the strangest vacation in history."

"I have to agree with you for once, Happosai." Perfume was getting ready to get into their limo. "If I never see Hawaii again it'll be to soon." Perfume smiled at the group. "No more swimsuit competitions for me. "

"This is far from my idea of what a vacation is, Perfume. More like a surprise field inspection to me." Alex said as he opened the door of the limo for the ladies.

As everyone got into the limo, the president's party departed also. The group of nerimans in the limo returned to the hotel and prepared to leave on the morning flight back to Tokyo. They would all always remember this vacation, but all were eager to end this holiday from hell.
