In memory

Rianne with Lady Max and Brisbane R.N.A Show
Lady Max was born in 1980. Pam took her into her life when Lady Max was 2 years old. Vicky, Pam's daughter broke Max in when she was 12 years old. This is the reason Lady Maxie responded to children so well.

When Lady Max was 5 years old, she had a foal. The foals name was "Lady Muffin". The story behind the name is that Lady Max would often walk into Pams house and eat whatever food was around. On the day Lady Muffin was born, Lady Max walked into the house and ate the freshly baked muffins that Pam had just finished baking. Hence the name "Lady Muffin". Lady Max had also been known to eat a bag or two of dog biscuits and wouldn't let a closed gate or a fence stop her if she desired.

Lady Max and Lady Muffin
Lady Max or Maxie as she was often called, taught many children to ride. So many in fact that we couldn't possibly name or remember all of them. So if you arn't one of these people, please excuse us if your name is not on the list. Top of the list is Pam and Gary's girls, Sharen, Vicky, Sarah and Rachael. Also, Ashley, Jamie and Rianne McIvor, Troy, Stevie and Susie King, and Denika Williams.

Lady Max was ridden by Rianne McIvor in the 1998 and 1999 State Championships and the 2000 State Championships by Corinne Williams at which Zone 1 came 4th.

In her younger days, Lady Max entered the R.N.A shows ridden by a very young Rianne McIvor.

Lady Max has left a very big hole in a lot of peoples lives. She can never be replaced. Not only did Maxie teach children how to ride but she also taught me what I know about presenting as she was a stunning pony and beautiful to work with.

As I write this I am once again overcome with grief as I find the loss of Maxie still very distressing. The only way to find comfort is to think of her in a big beautiful green pasture surrounded with kindness and all the comforts she deserves. By Judy Williams
