The Mateba M207 (which in the english version of the movie is pronounced Mataver) is a very unusual revolver designed and built in the 1990s. It's Togusas' weapon of choice (which Kusanagi and Bateau will never stop bothering him about because it's not an automatic). It's all the more unusual becuase it fires off 9mm parabellum rounds which is more commonly used in semi and fully automatics, NOT revolvers.The Mateba's six round cylinder is hinged to the top of the gun, allowing it to swing over top of the frame. This very annoying flaw in the design makes it almost impossible to ejects the spent cases with the same hand that is holding the gun, you can see this when Togusa reloads the Mateba with a tracking round.
