Mmph...mrmph~!! I mean... Konnichiwa minna~!!! YATTA~!!! I finally got my second chapter out....I was just too busy to post it before....-_-;;....I have a writer's block to get passed, *many* fanfics to write, mail to read and a site to update~!!! But since Chibi Charm asked me to make noise, I decided to make noise through a fic because I had to post it anyway. So ano....here's Chap. 2 of Zutto, Moving On. Oh yeah...it just occurred to me when Skippy-chan asked if Zutto is a random word I picked that not a lot of people might know what Zutto means....as you can see on the subject title it means 'always' in japanese....so....onto the fic~!! Zutto ~Always~ Chap. 2- Moving On ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "I....I have something to tell you. I....It's really important......so.....so don't laugh, ok?" Duo stuttered nervously. How was he supposed to say this? How was he supposed to put in words how he felt for the Chinese pilot? "Ok," Wufei returned simply. His face betrayed nothing but in his mind he was wondering what could be so important as to make the normally talkative pilot stutter. "IreallyreallylikeyouandIjustwantedtotellyou'cause....'cause.....Ai....ai shiteru, Wufei." By now his voice had dropped to a whisper and his eyes were locked on the floor, not daring to look up. A long uncomfortable silence hit them. After a while, not able to stand the reaction he got, or rather the reaction he didn't get, he looked up into Wufeis onyx eyes. Shock was clearly etched in his normally stoic face. Right now, he kept opening and closing his mouth as if trying to say something but not being able to. Duo would have laughed at the pilot's comic appearance if the situation wasn't so serious. But it was serious, and this wasn't the reaction he was hoping for. This also wasn't the reaction he was expecting. He expected to confess to Wufei his true feelings and he would reject him. But this was worse. He didnt want to see that shocked look on the beautiful face. Because he knew the shock would turn to disgust.....disgust felt towards him. The last thing he needed was the boy that he had just realized his feelings for to think of him as a freak. What was wrong? When he had announced to all the pilots he loved Heero they all seemed to accept it, almost expect it, so how was this situation different? He didn't know, all he knew was he had to get away from Wufei's shocked face. "I...." was all that Wufei could manage. What was he supposed to say? The American pilot that was *supposed* to be in love with Heero had just confessed his love to him! "You dont have to say anything. I understand," said Duo, his voice rigid, controlled, making himself sound like a totally different person. "Duo, I love you. But only as a friend. I hope you understand," Wufei finally said. "I....I understand," Duo said. Oh God, it hurt so much. Loved him only as a friend? It probably wouldn't have hurt so much if Wufei had said he had never loved him and never will. And yet, he was expecting this, he was expecting rejection. So why did it hurt so much? If he was expecting this, why did it hurt so much? Yes, he knew it would hurt, but he never would have thought it would hurt this much. The simple words that Wufei had said tore at his soul, it ripped out his heart and shred it into a thousand pieces. "I understand," he repeated blindly as bitter tears spilled out of his violet eyes, flowing freely down his cheeks. He made no move to wipe them away, instead turned and ran to his room. Wufei watched as Duo ran to his room. "Duo...." he whispered as a battle of emotions raged in his heart. One side of him was yelling at him for hurting Duo and for not admitting his own feelings for the American. The other side of him told him he did the right thing. Meiran would never forgive him if he did confess. Meiran. Yes, that was a person he had been trying to avoid thinking about for a long time. But it was time to face the facts now, it was time to analyze what he wanted now. Now that Duo had admitted his feelings for him. Before, it was never an issue...but now he knew that he had feelings for him. He had never even suspected the pilot of feeling anything for him except friendship, maybe not even that. But there Duo had been, saying ai shiteru! Yes, he felt an attraction towards the pilot of Deathscythe, maybe even from when he had first met him but what about Meiran? The wife he had always secretly loved, despite the fact that they fought every time they saw each other. What about her? Would he be able to just forget about her? The first side was yelling at him again. ::Meiran is dead! *DEAD*! She's not coming back! You have to move on!:: Wufei knew that already. He had known that all too well. But the question was, could he move on? Could he forget his beloved wife whom he had always cherished despite the appearance of their relationship? Would Meiran ever forgive him? ::You *know* she would forgive you! You know she would have wanted you to find someone else and not stay alone all your life just because of her!:: Yes that was true, she would have forgiven him easily. In fact, she would most likely have pushed him into Duo's room by now if she was still here. She had always been more of a person of actions rather than thoughts and words. But would he be able to forgive himself? ::What is there to forgive? What you did that needs forgiving is not telling Meiran you loved her when she was still alive! It doesnt matter if you tell her that every night in your prayers, the fact still stands, she's dead! And now you have the same opportunity presented to you except the fact that the other person actually returns your feelings! Are you just going to let this slip? Are you going to let this slip away from you just like you let Meiran slip away from you?:: Yes, the stupid annoying voice inside of him was right for once. He couldn't let this opportunity slip away. Not when it was the only chance he had to heal, to close the wound that Meiran had left when she died. Wufei got up and walked to Duo's room. When he got to the door, he raised his hand to knock but hesitated. Was he really going to do this? He knew this decision would change his whole life. Was he really going to go through with this? He could hear muffled sobs through the door. Yes, he would do this. For Duo, and for him. He let his knuckles connect with the wooden door and whispered Duo's name. No movement, no answer, except the sobs stopped. He knew he had been heard. "Come in, the doors unlocked," came the barely audible reply, Duo's voice yet again rigid and controlled. He placed his fingers on the cold metal as he turned the knob. 'Im sorry, Meiran.' But it was time to move on. It was truly time to move on. &*&*&*&*&*&*
