"How long do you plan to sit there? Come on; get up and join us!"

You considered Christine, your childhood friend, with a steady gaze and stubbornly told her, "No way. I just want to sit here and relax."

"Come on, sis." Your friend told the younger girl beside her. "Let's forget about this old fuddy-duddy and have some fun over there."

You grumbled irritably as you watched them leave. You knew that she was only teasing you, but what else did she expect from you? You'd only been a girl (a Purrian for that matter) long enough to walk without much of a problem, which had been the time that it had taken to get to Purria from a space port at Neptune. So you weren't exactly ready for the dynamics of social interaction just yet.

Not for the first time you wondered why you let her talk you into joining her family on their vacation, in her aunt's place (who couldn't make it, due to unforeseen circumstances). You were close to her, that was true; but you weren't exactly girlfriend and boyfriend. Either way, she certainly knew how to pull your strings, despite the fact that the body her aunt had chosen couldn't be changed on such short notice... and you had known that before accepting her invitation.

Somehow her manipulations made her more endearing to you. Obviously that meant that you had gone mad.

You were brought out of your thoughts when you heard her mother say, "She's right, you know. Only the ones that are actually old fogeys get to relax."

She had phrased it that way since she and her sister had chosen twin bodies, so they could be twin sisters; which meant that you were the same age as her, physically, at the moment.

"Kids like yourself should be out having fun." She went on. "So you better get up and make the most of it, or I'll be forced to test the strength of this body out on you."

You turned to regard her, to see if she was serious, but she only held her dukes up in a playful manner. You smiled, despite yourself, and shook your head.

"Oh, alright, miss Robins." You complied.

You got to your feet; you were a bit unsteady at first, but you quickly adjusted your posture and found your balance. Then you returned your attention miss Robins and said, "You know, you don't really have an excuse to relax, either; not with a body like that one. No offense."

"None taken." She replied with a chuckle, before she, too, got to her feet. "I just didn't want to leave my 'twin sister' all by her lonesome."

You shared a grin with her before you both made your way to where her daughters were playing a game of tag with other Purrian beachgoers. You considered miss Robins out of the corner of your eye, and once again saw where her daughter got her charm. Perhaps being Christine's boyfriend wasn't too far off...
