-----Bart needed to travel through Beidston forest, but had neither the money nor supplies for the two-week journey. The money, while it would help with supplies, would mostly be for hired guards because of the bandits that were known to lurk in the forest.

-----So he turned to his sister for aid, but she couldn't help finance his trip because like him she was experiencing tough times as well. But she did have a charmed bracelet that she had bought for her protection when she had been living in more productive times, something to increase personal safety while on the road.

-----Unfortunately that meant that he would have to become a girl since the charm had been crafted for his sister. However, his drive for finding a good job and a new lifestyle beckoned him to travel to the big city beyond the forest; so he swallowed his misgivings and agreed to use the charm. He was also given a few of her garments for when she traveled, because they would be more practical and comfortable.

-----A day later he entered the forest and stuck to the main road, uncomfortable in his new but temporary body. But at least he was more confident about his safety because, not only was he faster and had better balance, but he could hear and smell better as well. And while he had his reservations about it, he could also hunt barehanded. Of course, in the end, he was thankful: for he was certain that he wouldn't have avoided bandits and made it out of the forest without starving.

-----However, by the time he had nearly reached the other end of the forest (that promised an easier and happier life), he hesitated and didn't know whether to go through with his plans or stay in the forest. During his two-week travel he had not only adjusted to being female, but the feline side of his borrowed body had rubbed off on him and it made him feel as if his current situation was more natural than his former.

-----What he didn't know was that, since the charm hadn't been crafted for him specifically, the magic slowly adjusted his original body until it matched the requirements of the charm. But since he had been male, the only female form to adjust him to was the one that he had borrowed. And so, when he took off his charm and nothing changed, he knew that he didn't have any choice but to follow his stronger instints.

-----But she did eventually go into the city and lived a happy if somewhat abnormal life. However, she had only been inspired to because her body now went through estrus; which meant that she had to find a mate or go mad with sexual frustration. In the end, though, she decided that she wouldn't have wanted her life to be any other way.
