Some say that if you call upon Lady Luck, she may just answer your call and make your dreams come true. If you had asked before this night, I would said as much to make an a non-believer. Of course, being that this is the night in question, I can tell you that it's as true as it could be.

    You see, right now I am under the influence of Lady Luck. If I don't seem like a portly, middle-aged man, then that's because I'm channeling her power, which effectively means that I reflect her in all ways except for the fact that the power that I use belongs to her and not myself. Being a woman for a night is no big deal.

    But that's where my tale becomes disappointing: it will only last for one night of your life. You can choose which night to use it on, at any time once you've been offered her power, but it will only happen that one time. That's why I've been working my way through one game after the next, to make it to the highrollers. I really do plan on making myself rich enough to live off of my winnings for the rest of my life; it was a kind of retirement plan.

    However, whatever you do, do not use your incredible luck to succeed in criminal acts. Lady Luck can not only give you luck, but she can take every bit away as well. I've heard a few tales about what happened to some of the alleged folks that had crossed her, and I certainly don't want to get on her bad side. On the other hand, I've also heard about rewards for using your luck for the benefit of others. As much as I'd like to set myself up for the easy life, my curiosity may just get the better of me and I may use some of my winnings for a good cause. I guess we'll just have to see, eh?
