Sometimes it's just not worth knowing a magical girl. If you do, then you risk being asked to take their place for a bit. Now, while gaining magical powers may be cool, it's not all that impressive when you're in no condition to do anything with it. Sure, a magical girl has a lot of work and responsibility, thus needing a break so she can enjoy herself... But even the most patient of friends will get tired of taking her place, in her injured body, for weeks or months at a time so she can have fun and relax in your own body. It probably wouldn't be so bad for the magical girl's friend if she didn't turn out to be clumsy yet lucky enough to win against her adversaries.

    One might wonder if clumsiness and having enough luck to survive are two requirements for being chosen as a magical girl...
