-----Brandon was a thrill-seeker, as well as a sucker for dares. When his friend heard a story about an ex-star athlete's son becoming a female Purrian (which also brought up what happened to that athlete's father (as a sidenote)), he was dared to spend his Summer vacation at Purria (the world of the Purrians). Furthermore, he was dared to spend that time as a female of the race.

-----Well, why not? It was strange (and he said as much to his friend), but he couldn't think of anything better to do during his Summer vacation (that he hadn't done before). So, as the last days of school rolled by, he asked his parents to investigate a means of fulfilling his dare. His parents didn't like the idea, but ultimately found no real harm in it (they just found it incredibly strange, and chalked it up to youth culture).

-----Fortunately, there was a foreign exchange student program that had recently been set up between Purria and Earth. The change into a Purrian was costly, thus the reason for it being optional. His parents began to protest upon finding out the price, arguing that it wasn't worth it for a dare. He argued that it wasn't about the dare, and how he was truly curious about so many different things. Using that excuse (which was a lie, in actuality) for his argument, he was able to convince his parents to allow him to proceed with the change.

-----He didn't know how the foreign exchange student process worked on Earth, but he was given the choice to choose any of the Purrians that were willing to offer guardianship. However, what he did find to be strange, was that many of those asking for guardianship weren't even adults. When he inquired about that, he learned that Purrians (essentially) treat whole communities as one family and (thus) all children are taken care of by the community adults.

-----Now wiser, he paid attention to all entries, from the young to the old. One in particular finally caught his eye, from a Purrian girl that was six years old (whose first name was Felicity). Her comment said:

-----"Please choose me! You'll have lots of fun, and you'll make one of the adults happy too since they're interested in Earth! If you do, can you come as my twin? I have wondered what it'd be like, but I bet that it'd be the best!"

P.S. Oh, and thank Katalina for writing this for me! She's so nice! Come to see her too!

-----This one piqued his curiosity in particular because he had always been an only child. Entire communities treated themselves as a family at Purria, but he'd truly feel like family if he were really (and undeniably) related to one of the Purrians. But a girl so young? He wasn't so sure about that, so he did some studying about their culture. Ultimately, he decided that it would be a good idea to avoid some particular elements of being an adult female of the Purrian race (not too unlike certain elements of the female adults that were human), so he opted for going to the community where Felicity lived as her twin.

-----And so it came to be that he was transfered to Purria while one of the Purrian's (from the community that he was going to spend his time at during the Summer) went to live with his family. His parents were really out of their element with the whole thing, but they promised to try their best to teach the Purrian what they needed to learn about Earth (particularly human culture and what not to do). He wasn't completely sure about his decision to go through with it all either, but he strengthened his resolve and became Felicity's twin in body.

-----When he was taken to the community (that he'd spend his Summer vacation at), he was greeted by many of its citizens. He was greeted by Felicity in particular, who squealed happily and gave him a hug that made all previous hugs pale in comparison to. After the friendly reception, she hauled him to her apartment, where he was going to live. It was an apartment for two, but her roommate was more than willing to allow her to live with her new twin while they went to live at the apartment where the adult had moved out of (in order to go to Earth).

-----For the rest of the day, she monopolized his time, getting him settled in and dragging him around, showing him (in particular) that he didn't have to worry about clothes: because they could share! All in all, playing dressup wasn't all that bad. Well, it wasn't like anyone back home would really know... Exactly. What could he say, though? Her jubilant disposition was catchy, and they eventually escalated into a fight involving cushions and tickling before going to bed. They talked a little bit while they laid in their beds, and he couldn't help smiling when she said that he was awesome.

-----From then onward, it turned out to be a Summer that he'd never forget. Things were akward at first, getting used to the Purrians (as well as his new body) and all; but, with people like Felicity (and many others in the community), it wasn't hard to learn and enjoy. Looking back on his first day of school, embarrassed by the situation while his twin sister (as he thought of her now) dragged him to school, he smiled to himself and found it funny that he'd thought the whole exchange thing a mistake at the time. However, he was feeling kind of down in spirits now, as his final day neared.

-----"What's the matter, sis?" Felicity asked him before sitting next to him and giving him a hug.

-----Returning the hug, he said: "Oh, just thinking about my time here... And how I'll be going back in a few days."

-----"I'll really miss you." She replied, giving him a meaningful look. "I do wish you could stay, though..."

-----"Don't worry." He assured her, smiling. "I'll be back."

-----And he did indeed go back, two years later. After finishing high school, he used the money that had been intended for his college education (after persuading his parents to support him) to travel to Purria and change himself into Felecity's twin sister again. He moved in with her again as well, only he went to the Purrian's equivalent to a college (which was free) instead of the school he'd previously gone to. After a year, he became an official Purrian and had his name changed, deciding that that was the course that he thought his life should take. Purrity lived happily ever after, and so did her twin sister, Felicity.
