Piccolo

Piccolo is dynamic character that is very serious, and very intelligent. Kami split with his 'bad' side to purify himself and released his evil counterpart, Daimao. Daimao later spat up an egg as he was dying saying his offspring would seek vengence on him, therefore creating the Piccolo we know now today. Later he becomes good and even joins his enemy Goku in battle for a common cause, to defeat Raditz. When Goku dies, Piccolo takes his son Gohan and trains him. (The ungreatful whelp!) Piccolo saves him many times throughout the course of the story. Piccolo is in my opinion the 2nd strongest fighter during the last battle with Frieza after fusing with Nail. He is self-sacrificing, humorous, and an admired and feared figure by the other Z-Fighters. He demands respect (and gets it) and his courage is unmatched as fear is unacceptable to him.

Nail

Nail is a sub-character you have to give a lot of credit to. I mean, he took on Frieza alone and lived! No one else can say that. Nail, determined to do his duty, is the personal guardian and care-taker to Guru, and is Dende's older brother. He defends Guru from Frieza, and puts up quite a fight, but is still no match for Frieza. Piccolo finds him after he is wished back and fuses with Nail who even in his dying state will not give up the battle. After fusing with Nail, Piccolo often says and does things he normally would not do, this is actually Nail speaking or acting through him. Nail is still alive, but only in part. I chose the character Nail for my page, because he is very brave, and even when dying, would not give up the fight.

Dende

Dende is a sub-character who is Nail's younger brother and lives with Guru in the lookout on Namek. Dende is a healer and doesn't fight in the Freiza saga but does later learn how to and is...quite good at it. Anyway, he is 5 years old when we first meet him and he instantly befriends Gohan and Krillin who are the first 'Earthlings' he has ever met. He is absolutely adorable and has strong moral values such as honesty, loyalty, and respect to name a few. Dende is responsible for giving the humans the password "Porunga" to the humans so they can activate the Dragonballs which makes him, like all other Nameks, very brave since he's just a kid. He also healed Gohan and Krillin, as well as Vegeta after Nail comes out in Piccolo and tells him he has to because they need Vegeta's help. He lives with Piccolo for awhile after Namek's destruction, and most importantly, grows up to take Kami's place as the guardian of the Earth.
