Jewish children during World War II had many challenges to face. Only two options awaited most of them: escape or death.

Many children were taken into hiding by neighboring countries and families under other religions. During this time it was not uncommon to see Jewish children baptized for their survival. Note:: The Vatican was later contacted about the status of these children when the war was completed. This constant evacuation of children left many families seperated and disheveled.

Children not fortunate enough to escape the German reach often found themselves seperated from their families in work or concentration camps. Depending on appearance, a child would be left to work or killed. Usually those in their early teens had a chance for survival.
