menus:
i am impressed with this DVD. for being marketed as a kids cartoon, it looks very nice. the menus are animated, they have sound and there's animated transitions between them. in the episodes menu, the episode actually begin playing in little windows!
video:
the video quality of the episodes on this DVD is great. especially the scenes on Lyoko, where everything is CG, it doesn't look like a TV show as much as a movie. the picture is vivid and clean with no artifacts.
audio:
can't complain too much about this. the only audio track is French 2.0 stereo, which is nice. there's no English audio or subtitles, but then again, this DVD is intended for sale in France. on a side note, Odd has the highest pitched voice of anyone!
extras:
one disappointment was that there was no booklet! almost every other DVD i've ever bought has had a booklet or at least a single sheet of paper with the chapters listed on it. aside from that, the extras are great. the virtual tours are really cool and worth watching more than once. the music video is great, too.
other:
only two negative things to report here. the first is that since this is an R2 French DVD, you'll need to have an R2 PAL DVD player. if you want a cheap one, i suggest a CyberHome CHDVD-300 and hacking it. instructions on how to do that are here. the other negative is that the episodes are out of order! why on earth would the episodes be placed out of order on a DVD? sure they can stand alone, but that's not the point. i was disappointed at that.
overall:
i give it a subjective rating of "awesome," because it is! if you have $31 to burn at amazon.fr, go buy it.

menus:
well, they're pretty much the same as the menus from the first DVD, just with different audio and video clips.
video:
again, the video quality is great. really sharp and clear.
audio:
same as before! good!
extras:
well, the character info section is exactly the same as that of the first DVD. that's a bummer. but otherwise, the extras are great. the Holomap gives the locations of all the towers in Lyoko, complete with longitude and latitude. towers that have been activated (at least in the 8 episodes on DVD so far) have a corresponding video clip and the episode they were activated in. the "trombinoscope" (whatever that means) has a list of the students of Kadic College! for those who play a role, like Jérémie and the others, there is a little video clip, otherwise it just tells their name. now you can know all names of the background characters! "Les Échos de Kadic" is the report that Milly and Tamiya prepared for the school news on the football game from Zero Gravity. there's a newspaper article and some clips for the school news show. that's pretty good as well.
other:
the DVD included a collectable card with some stickers. the cards and stickers have all the characters' attacks and skills on them. again, the episodes are still out of order, there's no booklet and it's R2, other than that, it's great! also, this DVD has four of my favorite episodes, which is awesome.
overall:
i give it a subjective rating of "more awesome" because of the episodes and the extras. buy it now!
