Fan Fiction Requirements

I finally made myself create this page, the following is a list of requirements I follow (most of the time ^_^) when finding new fan fics to read (it a list I made up when I wanted to filter through the fics on FFN). I'm not really good at explaining myself but I hope its understandable. (Note this page is still under construction/revision. Update: 22/10/03)

Send fics to my email address after complying with the rules below:
From now on any fics that you want to recommend Must meet the following criteria:
 

* No "Mary-sue" fics
* No ACC rampant fics
* No SI (self insert) fan fics
* NO Yaio/shonen ai fics (guy/guy relationship)  
* Limited unnecessary/unexplained OOC'ness (out of character) 
* Evangelion stories only
* I have to like the fic

Explanations

* No "Mary-sue"

"Mary-sue" fics are ones where the story is centered on the famous super duper ACC 6th (7th, 8th etc..) child where he has the highest sync ratio, kills all the angels single handily and is loved by everyone. I'm definitely not wasting my time with theses kind of fics.  

*No ACC rampant fics

Fic that contain nothing but ACC's (or mainly ACC's) in the evangelion universe to me is not an evangelion fic

* No SI (self insert) fan fics

The only time I may read a fic with SI characters is when it's for comedic purposes with a good story behind it

* NO Yaio/shonen ai fics (guy/guy relationship)   

Unless the story is very very good, there is no way on earth am I going to read anything with a guy/guy relationship (yuri/shoujo ai I can tolerate, but only one that are written well)

* Limited unnecessary/unexplained OOC'ness (out of character)

I understand that characters personalities may need to change depending on the different environments that authors put the eva cast into, but I don't like reading fics (for no other reason than just to fit them into their story) making the characters completely different from the start with no explanation of why he/she is acting that way. (Getting hit on the head and coming back completely different is not a good reason, especially when everyone just accepts it like nothing has changed)

* I have to like the fic

Even if it passes all the rules, I still have to like reading the fic. I have no issues about what genre the fic is, what the rating is or what the plot is. As long as the story is enjoyable to read (like all the ones that are on my fanfic page) then I should like it. 

The points above Must be met, but the ones below don't have to be, I'll still read fics that pass the criteria above but I'm a picky reader so I prefer to further filter different stories I come across.

The following criteria's Doesn't necessary needs to be meet with, but it I prefer reading fics that did : )

* Prefer stories not be written in script format

 (eg: Asuka: I'm the famous pilot of unit 02
       Shinji: sorry...)
