Welcome to

Windrose Farm

On behalf of the Lestina Family, I would like to welcome you to our small place on the web!

Located on a few acres in Southern California, we pride ourselves in breeding quality Welsh Ponies and Cobs, as well as Nubian and Boer Goats. As you look around this site, you will be introduced to members of the family, as well as our pets and our hobbies. You may also notice that this site, as well as most of the farm are run by the "daughters." While our parents do have final say about everything that happens (especially since they are most of the financial backing), it is the daughters that do the training, advertising, showing and all around care for the animals.

The above picture is from one of the times we paraded with the Southern California All Welsh Society (now defunct). The group was made of all sections of welsh and half welsh, and everyone dressed in welsh renaissance clothing, in order to celebrate the origin of the welsh breed. My family has paraded for over 8 years, first with Pony Club, then heavily for several years with 4-H (atleast 3 parades a month, sometimes as many as 8 a month and we did the largest parades through this group), most recently with the SCAWS group every so often. In all, we have gone down a parade route well over 250 times! Every one of the costumes pictured above was made by our mom and all were completed in a time of less than 6 months total (pretty good if you consider she also works over 40 hours a week). From left to right: Lisa (13) riding Windrose Cola, Rebecca (18, webmaster for this site!) riding Bristol Lola Falana-now deceased, Melissa (20) on Windrose Coaster, DJ (8), and Krista (16) riding/leading Carousel's Mor-Forwyn Gwen. This picture was taken in 1998, and our ages are as of the picture date.

If you would like to contact us, please feel free to email us at AnimlLuvr8@aol.com, or simply click on the email buttons on most of the pages and it will give you the email prompt with our email address already on it. If you have any problems navigating the site, please let us know, we always try to keep it up to date and working, but our "web master" (aka-daughter) attends college and has a real job, so sometimes she can miss things. We hope you enjoy your visit and check back often as we do updates throughout the year.

Our hearts go out to those that lost their lives and those that lost loved ones due to the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. To all the American troops now deployed to various areas of the world, may you all return to your homes quickly and safely.

The music on this page is "Everything I Do, I Do For You" by Bryan Adams and is played in support of Americans everywhere, no matter what their ethnicity, religion or location. All that matters is what's in your heart!
