Tenshin-Han, also known as Ten(or Tien in the American version), is a very powerful and straight-forward fighter(And also my very favourite Z-Soldier). Tenshin-Han has one very noticeable attribute: he has three eyes! There is evidence that this eye has multiple uses, like the ability to copy any technique(Used with the Kamehameha during his fight with Goku), The ability to see illusions(When Jackie Chun used the one pattern technique, he could see which was the real Jackie) and I also think it is used for his ESP. Ten is also the strongest human on Earth and he has the biggest muscular build out of all the Z soldiers,even Goku! He is introduced into the story as a thief and fraud, but later befriends Goku after beating him in the Tenkaichi-Budokai. Ten trained under Tsurusennin(Crane master) who is the sworn enemy of Goku's sensei Kamesennin (Turtle master). Like most of the other Z fighters,Ten loves to train, actually, he trains harder than all of them, he doesn't let things distract him like women or having fun. Even during the Buu saga, while Yamucha and Krillin are sitting back and taking it easy, Ten and Chaou-tzu are still training very hard.

Ten-san models himself after Goku, because he admires his strength and his skill in battle. Ten-san is always striving to reach the same level, though he never does he is the strongest human on Earth. Over time, he begins to master his techniques. This is shown greatly with his Kikou-hou technique. It started as a very powerful technique... a technique so powerful that it would kill him if he over used it since used almost all of the ki in his body. He did use it against nappa, and it killed him. He began to work hard on the technique and later introduced the Shin Kikou-hou, which was a modified version of the original attack. Although it was even more powerful than the original, he could use it multiple times without killing himself. He used the Shin Kikou-hou against the second form Cell and did some major damage as well. Ten-san has only died twice in the series, One time was while battling Nappa and once when Majin-buu blew up the Earth. Tenshin-han has some major accomplishments under his belt, such as being able to defeat Jace and Burder of the Ginyu Force and He also saved Gohan's life in the Buu saga. Tenshin-han is also one of the few people who know the Mafuu-baa technique which was used to trap Piccolo after he wrecked the Tenkaichi-Budokai. For most of Dragonball Z Tenshin-han is seen living with Chaou-tzu and his girlfriend Lunch.
