Death and Rebirth - The Absolution Pluto awoke to find herself at the Gates of Time. The perpetual mists that hung about the Gate were writhing in seeming agony. Confused, she stumbled around. Evil was rising everywhere, killing the innocents. "No . . ." she mumbled, knowing it was because Neo-Queen Serenity, King Endymion and all the senshi were dead. The very flow and ebb of time was ripped and ruined. "There must be something to fix this . . ." Pluto hissed, feeling responsible. She could almost hear Queen Serenity, telling her to guard the Gates of Time and moniter it's flow. "Oh Serenity, I'm so sorry. Small Lady!" she cried, feeling very sad that the young girl had died, and she hadn't protected her. "I would destroy Proxima but I have banished him from beyond my powers. I can not destroy him, on one of the Serenity's can." she told herself sadly. She remembered the last time such a horrible event had occured, the entire court had been reincarnated. "That's it! I will reincarnate them, just as Queen Serenity did last time!" the Guardian said, begining to pace as she thought about her plan.

Pluto closed her eyes, deep in concentration. She had been gathering her strength for days now, trying to find the will to resurrect the entire group of senshi. It would be hard and painful, but she vowed to do it. Glancing one last time at the winking stars and bright full moon, Pluto slowly manipulated Time, rewinding it, recreating and mending the tear in the flow. Slowly, the years reversed, going back a thousand and then two thousand years. The moon was full that night too and a glittering palace was set in the center of a beautiful garden on the moon. All was still and the light from Earth shone a gentle blue light on everything.

A baby's cry shattered the stillness, followed by relieved laughter. "It is a girl, you highness." came the gentle voice of a mid-wife. "I will name her, Serenity. She will do great things for our people and will be loved by all." said Queen Serenity, her tired voice filled with happiness.

So occured the same event on the planets Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus. The planets of Neptune, Uranus and Saturn all had the laughter of young voices echoing joyouslu through their halls. The castle on Pluto, however, remained still and silent, having not been inhabited for thousands or years.

Pluto slumped against the door-way of Time. "It is done. And so the cycle begins again. From Life to Death to Rebirth, the wheel of life continues." she whispered, her whole body shimmered and faded. No longer were the halls of the castle on Pluto empty, for there, a young girl, serious in nature, with long green hair and deep maroon eyes played quietly, sure in her destiny. If one took a closer look, infinite wisdom shined bright in those eyes, centuries of living could not be worn away nor could the maturity that old-age bestow be torn from the solitary young girl. She remembered everything and took nothing for granted. Life was precious and she remembered a time not so long ago when her world had been destroyed.

And here our story begins. It was just after the Absolution that Sailor Pluto defied all laws she knew and re-incarnated the senshi, resurrecting the Silver Millenium and giving new hope to the universe.
