House Narameratheralsia, to give it its full name, is an
ancient and respected Moonelf House. Their arrogance is also well known for many
things, the utmost of these is the fact that no N'Alsia has ever set foot on the isle of
Evermeet and say they never will. They believe that those who left and set up the
elven court there are cowards for being run from what was theirs. The bulk of the
House is, of course, in Faerun around where Cormanthyr used to be centuries ago.
There is also a citadel in a moonelf city in the mountains called Celestrial. The
rest of the family has relocated to Rhydin where they have established a formidable
foothold. The family motto is, fittingly enough, "Bal na i ore" which is
roughly translated as "Power is the mind" or laughingly by some as "Power
is mine". The symbol for the House is the Merstallion while the colors of the
House are royal blue and silver.
The House has been given three gifts by Corellon himself,
magic, psionics, and fertility. The House shall never fear the encroachment of races
that breed faster than standard elves as they are more fertile than the other members of
their race. Not all the gifts are as strong in each member of the bloodline, nor are
they given in any particular combination. The House has a Balenorn, Dur Quare (Dark
Fist). He was once a hero of the House who, rather than take the journey, pass on,
or become a glade guardian, chose to protect the House and its inhabitants for all time.
He dwells in what is left of the original citadel in Myth Drannor waiting to be
summoned by the owner of the House Sigil. Other House treasures include a Moonblade
that is rumored to have at least sixteen runes, but no one has seen the blade in some
time. The House always keeps a champion to defend its honor and ideals. The
current House Champion is Turin Moonglow.
