Vegeta could barely remember anything more as Goku carried him to his own home. Chi Chi stood in the kitchen making breakfast while Gohan sat patiently at the table.<br>Goku suddenly bursts in the doorway holding a half conscious Vegeta. "Chi Chi... Vegeta was attacked and...the creature took Bulma!" Goku stumbled upon his words in a bit of shock himself.<br>Chi Chi had rushed Goku up the stairs with Gohan at their heels as Chi Chi ordered Goku to lay Vegeta on the bed in one of their spare bedrooms.<br>Vegeta laid still staring into space as Chi Chi and Goku stared down at him.<br>Goku waves a hand over Vegeta's eyes but Vegeta doesn't respond. His eyes flutter before falling into blackness.<br><font color=blue>~~~~~Later that day~~~~~</font><br>Vegeta was still out cold as Goku sat at the end of the bed, waiting for his friend to awaken.<br>Chi Chi walks in with a tray of food.<br>Being so concerned for his friend Goku hadn't come downstairs to eat lunch, but he looks up and takes the tray eagerly and begins eating.<br>Chi Chi walks over to the side of the bed to find Vegeta still out cold. Goku had told her and Gohan everything that he knew about the incident. Now they had to wait to see if Vegeta pulled through the initial shock of having his mind torn from Bulma's.<br>Vegeta opens his eyes wearily and stares at the blurred figure that hovered over him.<br>"Goku sa! He's awake."<br>Vegeta squints, unable to focus his vision. "B..Bulma?"<br>Chi Chi frowns. "Iie, Vegeta... I'm not Bulma. It's Chi Chi...your here at our house. Can you hear me?"<br>Vegeta did not respond for a moment. "K...Kaka...rotto..."<br>Goku stands up and walks over to Vegeta's side. "Hai Vegeta?"<br>Vegeta sits up and nearly falls back down in dizziness as he clutched his aching head in pain. "Nugh!"<br>Goku pushes Vegeta back down to the bed. "Stay down Vegeta... you've been through a lot today. Your ki level was at a dangerous level when I brought you in, but you've gotten better over the hours. Don't worry, as soon as your well we'll go look for Bulma. I promise!"<br>Vegeta smiles weakly before the blackness once again came and he fell limp.<br>Chi Chi sighs. "I hate to see him this way. He must be heart broken."<br>"Hai," Goku whispers while pulling a blanket over Vegeta. "We should let him rest, he needs to build up his energy, but I think you need to have food ready for him because he'll be hungry when he wakes up. I know it."<br>Chi Chi nods and returns to the kitchen as Goku sat back down at the end of the bed to watch Vegeta.<br><font color=blue>~~~~~Night~~~~~</font><br>Vegeta rolls over in his sleep, his tail thumping the bed.<br>Goku looks up. <i>He must be dreaming.</i><br>Vegeta suddenly sat up, sweat clinging to his forehead in beads. "Bulma!"<br>"Vegeta, it's me Goku."<br>Vegeta blinks and nods. "Kakarotto. I.. need something to drink.. I'm thirsty."<br>Goku nods and rushes to get a cup to fill with water.<br>Vegeta rubs his temples and frowns as he remembered what had happened earlier that day. He swings his legs over the side of the bed and stood up. Dizziness immediately began to overwhelm him as he staggered to the doorway.<br> Chi Chi walks up with Goku and is surprised to find Vegeta at the doorway, bent over in pain, but standing none the less.<br>Chi Chi smiles as she shows Vegeta the tray of food she'd brought him.<br>Goku leads Vegeta back to bed and forces the prince to lay back down or rather in a sitting position as the tray was rested on his lap.<br>Vegeta immediately begins to eat since he'd had nothing all day. Chi Chi had to go back for about 7 more helpings of that night's dinner before Vegeta finally handed her the empty tray and strangely, thanked her.<br>Vegeta leans against the headpost and sighs, his belly full and his head beginning to clear up.<br>Goku turned on the bedside lamp and sat on the other end of the bed and gazed at Vegeta.<br>Vegeta blinks, adjusting his vision and frowns. "We have to go now."<br>"Demo Vegeta... It is night time and I'm a little sleepy and you still need your rest."<br>Much to his dismay Vegeta knew Goku was right. Many things had happened that day and after all that resting Vegeta was still physically and mentally exhausted. He nods to his friend, "Fine then, we'll leave for space in the morning on one of Bulma's space pods."<br>Goku nods. "Don't worry Vegeta, we'll find her. I promise."<br>Vegeta frowns. "We?"<br>Goku nods again. "Hai, as strong as that guy is you'll need all the help you can get."<br>Vegeta smirks. "Kakarotto....baka ne...." Vegeta's eyelids sagged. He releases a loud yawn and slid back down onto the bed. "Friend..."<br>Goku smiles at Vegeta's complement on refering him as his friend. "Oyasumi Nasai Vegeta kun, sleep well."<br>Vegeta was already in deep sleep by the time the covers were drawn over him. That night, he drempt of Bulma.<br><font color=blue>~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~</font><br>Bulma watched silently as the stars slowly drifted past before her eyes. She was light years away from Earth now and she turns to the horrible monster that had kidnapped her.<br>SahlKahn smirks. "Do not worry, you'll never see him again and if you behave like a good saiyan woman should, then perhaps I'll spare my wrath on your child."<br>Bulma nods weakly as she rests a hand on her belly. She was hungry and so was her child, but she was afraid to ask for food.<br>As if on cue, one of the pilots walked in, similar in appearance to SahlKahn. He walks up to Bulma and hands her a plate of food.<br>Even thought that wasn't enough to suffice her saiyan hunger, Bulma took the plate thankfully and tore into the meaty legs of whatever animal that it used to belong to. At this moment she didn't care as she knew she was keeping her son alive with the food she ate. She only hoped that even though their link had been shattered that Vegeta would find her. She only hoped...<br><font color=blue>~~~~~Morning~~~~~</font><br>No one had the heart to wake Vegeta as he slept soundly. The clock read 10:00 am and the prince still hadn't awakened.<Br>Vegeta reaches blindly next to him, hoping to find his mate at his side, but there is nothing. He slowly opens his eyes and realizes where he was. He bolts upright, breathing hard and looking around him.<br>Chi Chi walks in with a fresh pair of clothes for Vegeta to wear. "Ah your awake. I suppose you should get cleaned up before you leave Earth. There are plenty towels in the bathroom. Goku is downstairs waiting for you."<br>Vegeta nods and takes the clothes from Chi Chi.<br>Vegeta stood in the shower, allowing the hot water to soak him through. He wishes that he had been stronger and more aware of what SahlKahn was capable of, but he'd been gravely mistakened. Now he was paying the price and he doesn't know how in the hell he could locate Bulma. Without their bond, he had no way of connecting with her, but that didn't mean he had to give up. He was determined to find her and he knew if he touched her their bond would once again form and make them whole again. He only hopes that his unborn son would survive as well.<br>Vegeta finishes his shower and pulls on the worn pair of jeans and blue muscle shirt. He then turns to his gold tipped boots which Chi Chi had kindly polished for him. He smirks, that woman was full of surprises.<br>He thumps down the stairs and is greeted by the aroma of breakfast being made just for him. He sighs, remembering how Bulma cooked for him. He sighs and sits at the table across from Goku. "Obyo," Vegeta whispers while his thoughts were somewhere else.<br>Goku knew that Vegeta was suffering without his mate. He knew Vegeta better than anyone else did and he turns to Chi Chi who was dishing out Vegeta's breakfast.<br>Vegeta took the meal greatfully and ate in silence. His mind felt empty and all he was focused on now was saving her and bringing her back to Earth. He eats 6 helpings and finally was ready to leave. He nods to Chi Chi as he joined Goku outside where Bulma's father stood with the large Capsule Corp. space pod.<br>Mr. Briefs was confident that Vegeta and Goku would find his daughter and he smiles at his son-in-law. "Take care Vegeta and you too Goku... I wish you both well. Bring my daughter home safe and I expect my unborn grandson to be in top shape as well!"<br>Vegeta nods. "Don't worry, I won't let you down." That was all Vegeta said as he climbed the 3 steps into the pod.<br>Goku waves good-bye to his family as the door began to close.<br>Vegeta turns to the control panel and sits down on one of the two seats.<br>Goku sits in the other seat as Vegeta typed in a few things then pushed the ignition button.<br>The pod quickly blasted off into space, leaving Earth far behind.<br>Thus, the search for Bulma began.<font color=blue>To Be Continued...
