She whipes her sweaty fore. It had been nearly 7 months since the day the Tornado hit and things had long since been rebuilt and put back to normal. Things were quiet for now, but she knew from the instinct that she had that this calm wouldn't last much longer. She rests a hand on her swollen middle with a smile. Her son had grown considerably within her womb and the size of her belly showed it. Bulma simply smiles and continues her pleasure walk through the woods. The need to be out in the wild was always strong ever since she became a saiyan and the scent of the outdoors and the feel of things around her kept her content. She and Vegeta were married 2 months after the Tornado incident. She glances at the gold band around her left ring finger. The ring was special, but the bond she and Vegeta shared was far more special than a simple creation of gold. She sighs and resumes walking once more. She was happy with her life and if she had the ability to change time she wouldn't change anything. Destiny had brought her and Vegeta together and as mates they created life.
The baby kicks sharply, but due to her saiyan endurance it hardly felt like nothing more than a normal kick or light nudge.
Her tail twitches behind her and she shrugs off it's distraction with a toss of her long teal blue hair. She'd learned to deal with her tail's constant movement by now and all she was focused on was continuing her walk through the best of what nature had to offer at this time of year.
Although she often thought nothing of it, something in the back of her mind gave her the feeling that she was being watched by some invisible force that she could not identify. This force was evil and the harder she tried to focus on this...energy... the more frustrated she became. She'd begun to train and her power level had risen to 15,000, but the baby's growth had halted most of her hard training and forced her to relax. Even Vegeta had told her to take it easy a few times because he didn't want the future heir or his queen to come to any harm. So, like a conserned husband and future daddy, Vegeta had band her from any further use of the gravity room or any stressful training. Bulma smiles, she couldn't believe that Vegeta was acting like any new father would to his pregnant wife. Vegeta was somewhat nervous when she agreed to have a light sparing session with Goku.
It boggled the mind to even image the great prince Vegeta, nervous over the fact that his wife wanted to train during her seventh month of pregnancy.
She'd finally given in though, she agreed that she should be more careful and a little more generous to the young prince she carried in her womb.
She reaches the clearing she had been destined for and the view was breath taking. She was surrounded by snow covered mountains and the sun shone brightly upon the world, sharing it's autumn warmth. She crosses her arms, resting them carefully on her middle. The presence was always there as usual. Once again her face twisted into frustration after trying for the umteenth time to sense the location of the dark aura that followed her. She knew Vegeta sensed it as well and he'd told her not to go anywhere to far in case any enemies decided to show up and attack her while she stood so vulnerable.
Bulma is knocked from her train of thought when she felt his presence approaching. She smiles, greeting her husband with open arms and a passionate kiss.
Vegeta takes his queen into his arms and holds her close. He knew Bulma loved taking walks since her current state kept her from hunting and doing any type of overly active training.
Bulma rests her head on Vegeta's shoulder with a sigh. "Ah Vegeta, you decided to join me neh?"
Vegeta nods. "I can't let you have all the fun now can I?"
Bulma chuckles. "What fun Vegeta? I can hardly do anything because our little prince is in a sensitive stage of development. Just admit it love, you're worried for me because of what we've been feeling lately."
"Hai, I am worried," Vegeta replies with reluctance. "I don't like it and for some reason this strange presence has taken interest in you. I'd never forgive myself if I allowed you and our child to come to any harm."
Bulma laughs. "You always say that...your so cute when your conserned Vegeta; one of the reasons I fell in love with you."
Vegeta blushes. "Hmmph."
"Oh no, don't start getting all serious on me now!"
"I'm not getting serious damnit..."
"You always do when your embarassed," Bulma replies while burying herself deeper into the warmth of his arms.
"Do not," Vegeta complains.
"Do too so feh," Bulma replies.
Vegeta sighs, wondering how he'd ever allowed himself to stoop to such a level that he was arguing childishly with his wife. He supposed it was his own doing...allowing himself to play along in her foolish games. He turns his gaze to the view around him and he inhales deeply, taking in the fresh autumn air. He pulls her down with him till they were sitting together in a patch of clover, hand in hand, tails hooked together.
It was times like this that Vegeta enjoyed most. He loved spending quality time with his mate...feeling like the the richest man in the whole universe. He had everything he could desire... he had a wife, a soon to be born child and he was still strong and proud, as well a super saiyan. Although, since he'd met Bulma, he'd allowed his heart to soften to almost the extent of Kakarotto's. He holds her to him and they lay onto their backs. He watches Bulma's breathing cause her swollen middle to rise and fall. He smiles while placing a gloved hand there, feeling for the familiar sensation of his child's restless slumber. The baby kicks his palm, letting his father know that he was still very much alive. Vegeta turns his head, "You suppose that...." He stops in mid sentence to find Bulma sleeping with her head resting in the crook of his neck. He runs his fingers along her pale cheek, brushing away a few strands of her beautiful hair. "The baby has exhausted you more than you realize my Bulma-Chan. It takes a lot of energy...*sigh* sleep my love...I hope your dreams are good ones." He kisses her forehead and carefully takes her into his arms and flies up into the air to take her home where their nice soft bed awaited her.
Vegeta flies off into the distance, unaware of the dark shadows that lurked where he and Bulma once laid only seconds before. The shadows hiss in frustration then melt into the ground, showing no sign of their arrival or departure. She was far from aware that she was in danger and that is what the shadows wanted. Before she found out too much, she would be theirs forever... This sick passion that made their tendrils trembles....but first...HE had to go. The Now King of Saiyans had to die...
