Vegeta blinks, trying to find a reason why this woman has captured his heart. All that he knows is that he loved her and he was having a hard time accepting the fact that he was truly in love. He gazes down at the many fish and he blasts them with a ki blast. They float to the top and he grunts with satifaction while picking them out of the water. He looks over to his left and finds Bulma at the waters edge, removing her over jacket to reveal a white tank top. He gulps and turns his attention back to the fish and slowly flies over and lands close by to her and his hands begin to glow. A fire would be a becon for them to be found so he fries the fish with his ki blast and starts to eat. He finds himself gazing at Bulma again as she dipped her head into the lake to cool off and he gulps down the fish meat in his mouth.
Bulma whips her head around and faces Vegeta, her blue eyes bright and sparkling. The aroma of cooked fish made her mouth water and she gulps wanting so much to just have one fish to ease her aching belly.
With his sensitive hearing, Vegeta could hear her stomach growling and he looks down at the last fish in his hand and without a word walks up and hands it to her.
"A..arigatou Vegeta," Bulma replies and tears open the scaley flesh of the fish to get at its tender meat inside.
"Hmmph, I could hear your damn stomach making all its racket from over there."
Bulma frowns, well excuse me mister but I have to eat too ya know!"
Vegeta can feel his temper raging and he growls. "WHY DID I EVEN HAVE TO SAVE YOUR SORRY ASS! YOU HUMANS ARE ALL THE SAME! PATHETIC! Hmmmph!" With that Vegeta storms back to the cave leaving Bulma alone and near tears. "Why...I just want to go home...why him..of all people..why did I have to fall for an arrogant royal bastard!" She throws the remains of her fish down, losing her appetite and sits at the waters edge and stares at her reflection on the lake's surface. A tear fell into the lake, causing small ripples to spread into a circle, soon the ripples faded then disappeared altogether. She brushes back her soaked hair and hugs herself and sobs silently. Where are Gohan and Krillan, can't they find me? Or have they forgotten...Oh Goku..where are you? Why aren't you here yet? I want you to take me home...away from him..away from that bastard who insists on tearing my heart to pieces! She stares ahead at the rocks in the distance. Somehow she'd have to get to them and she gets up onto her feet and sighs. "The only way there is to swim...so here goes!" She jumps into the lake with a splash and begins swimming as fast as her arms and legs could carry her. The farther away from him, the better.
Vegeta exits the cave upon hearing a splash and is surprised to see Bulma swimming rather fast in the lake towards a large mound of rocks on the other side. "She must be crazy if she can get there. Those rocks are a lot farther than she thinks they are. She'll get tired. Hmmph, this is rather amuzing." He levitates into the air and hovers close behind Bulma and watches with interest as she swam as hard as she could. He watches her muscles ripple beneath her tank top as she took deep breaths and continued to swim.
Bulma turns her head to the side to get more air and catches a glimps of Vegeta hovering nearby seemingly watching with interest. She'd show him that she wasn't weak and she was fixated on those rocks.
By the time she got to the other side she was exhausted and she collapses on the water's edge and takes deep breaths of the fresh namekan air. She was soaked and her muscles ached and she finds Vegeta standing next to her, grinning at her with his arms tightly crossed.
"I do have to admit woman, you aren't as weak as I thought you to be. I'd thought you'd never make it but for once I was wrong. Hmmph. You insist on trying to impress me and to prove your not weak. No matter...I still think you weak..human."
"Y..you know w..what Vegeta..," she gasps. "Y...you can go fuck...yourself...I..I don't care...j..just stay out of my way." She tries to pull herself up but her tired muscles give away and she falls face first into the dirt. She cries out and hoists herself up again and succeeds in getting into an upright position and staggers to the rocks and looks up. She'd have to climb to get to the top so she could look around and then she decides to climb. She turns to find Vegeta hadn't moved from his spot and was watching her, daring her with those cold black eyes to climb that rock. He smirks, teasing her, telling her with those eyes that she couldn't do it and Bulma frowns.
I'll show that bastard what I can do. Bulma grabs onto the rock and pulls up. Her muscles pull and she yells in pain as she pushes herself to the limit. She can feel the muscles in her back tearing as she pulled herself up another foot. I won't give up now...I won't humiliate myself in front of him. I have to proove that I'm not weak. She pushes up again and screams in pain as her trembling fingers found the top of the rock formation and she pulled with all her remaining strength and collapses onto its grassy top and refuses to move. She opens her eyes to find his gold tipped boots landing at her side. She could feel him lifting her up into his arms and her face next to his. Her head rested on his shoulder as he cradled her like a baby. He leans down and whispers into her ear. "You've passed my test woman, now let me give you the prize."
His lips connect with hers and Bulma raises her face up and pushes into his kiss. She kisses him fiercely not wanting the passion to end but she knew by the pounding of his heart beneath her chest that he had to go fight soon. "You have the determination of a saiyan," he tells her telepathically. "Your are truly one of a kind and I must have you...keep you as mine..."
Bulma moans in pain, remembering her torn muscles and she feels him part their kiss and whisper to her to hold tight. He knew Kakarotto would be here soon and so he would hand her over to him for the time being to heal till he could take her away with him. He would first make her his mate and that would be his new goal after killing Freiza, then to defeat Kakarotto.
He flies off into the distance with Bulma clinging to him. Her face snuggled into his shoulder and he smiles to himself. She'd proven something to him today, he would never underestimate anyone ever again. He didn't think she could swim 2 miles then climb 30 feet just to see where she was, but she had done it. Yet again Bulma, you have captured my heart in a way that I thought no one could...
Vegeta gave Bulma to Goku as he had planned and she was given a sensu. Later on they fought, killing all the Ginyu force and going up against the Freiza as Goku healed in a rejuvination tank. When Vegeta dies Bulma had cried out in pain as she could feel his pain through their bond that had begun to form. She cries as she watches him die... He was calling out her name telepatically as he spoke to Goku about his past and how Freiza had made him what he is today. Vegeta cried true tears and prooved to Goku that he really had a good heart and he understood what he had to do. He would avenge his death by defeating Freiza and so he does. Going super saiyan and defeating him as he had promised his new friend. Bulma was taken in tears with Gohan and Piccolo after Krillan is killed. Bulma sobbed his name once and Gohan doesn't understand what had happened between Vegeta and Bulma....And so the story continues...
