Chapter Four: This Can’t be Right or Real

“I heard you had some fun with Raditz and with Nappa already, girl,” the King said as he walked down the stairs. He must have been 7’ tall NOT including his hair. I gulped as he approached, I wanted to run away, but my body was frozen in fear.
“Yeah, you should have been there,” I croaked as he stood in front of me and peered down his chest at me.
“Who are you?” he asked as he began circling me and I followed him with my eyes.
“My name is Mabelle Soprano,” I said and he stopped in front of me and scowl appeared on his face.
“I mean what are you?” he growled as he began circling me again.
“I’m a human, from the planet Earth,” I said as I tried not to shake in fear.
“Funny, there is no such planet, now what are you and where are you from?” He growled into my ear from behind me. I gulped and I could feel my knees begin to shake.
“I told you the truth, I’m a human from Earth, I don’t know how I got here,” I cried as he stepped in front of me and growled in my face.
“Do you not remember falling through the view screen?” he growled and he pulled my head up to look me in the eyes.
“I just remember the lights going off and then waking up in that cell,” I cried and I fought back the tears that were threatening to fall.
“You’re useless to me unless you remember how you came here,” he growled as he raised one hand and the static bolts appeared in his hand and I recognized the ki blast, but I recognized the bolts and I remembered the TV screen. “I’ll just get rid of you since you can’t remember anything.” He aimed the ki blast at me!
“I remember now! DON’T SHOOT, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON’T SHOOT!” I screamed as I covered my face. I fell to my knees at the feet of one of the few DBZ characters that actually scared me.
“Good girl, now tell me what I want to know,” I saw his boot appear in front of me. I fell onto my rump and cried out when the bump on my back hit the floor.
“It was a huge electrical storm, it hit my house and my...uh…view screen became open, the actual screen was gone and there was a…um…portal! I put my hand up to make sure that the screen was gone and I was pulled into the portal and I landed in that lab!” I said as I put my hands down and looked up at King Vegeta.
“Hmm, I think that could create a portal with two view screens that were set on the same frequency for the same amount of time,” the King muttered and I whimpered at his feet. “BARDOCK!”
“You called for me, my King,” Bardock said as he bowed in front of the King and he looked at me.
“Take this girl to Lord Freeza’s scientist and ask him if it is possible to create a portal between two view screens at the same frequency that have been running for the same amount of time with a large enough electrical bolt,” the King ordered.
“Yes, my King,” Bardock picked me up and I was rather thankful for that seeing as my legs were mush at that moment.
“Oh, and Bardock?” the King called and I shivered in fear.
“Yes, my Lord?” he asked as he turned back to look at the King.
“See if the girl is strong enough to be a half-mate,” King Vegeta ordered and Bardock smiled.
“Yes, my King,” he responded. We exited the chamber and I clung to Bardock, trying not to cry or scream. This had to be a horrible nightmare, but the pain from the bump on my head and the bump on my back was too real.
“What does he mean by ‘half-mate’?” I asked after we were out of sight from the great doors and the terrifying King.
“I don’t think you want to know,” Bardock chuckled as he continued down the hall.
“Tell me and put me down, I can walk,” I growled as I began to thrash and I was unceremoniously dropped on my butt, causing pain in the bump on my back.
“Fine, girl, don’t say I didn’t warn you. A half-mate is a female alien who is strong enough in physical strength to be a mate for a Saiyan male. That means she bears half-breed young and she is only used to please Saiyan males,” Bardock said as he grabbed my arm and dragged me down the hall.
“WHAT? That’s awful! Hey! Why’s it just female aliens?” I asked as I tried to keep up with Bardock.
“Because there are too few female Saiyans and all of them take Saiyan mates so the rest of us have to make due,” he chuckled as he stopped in front of a door and pressed the pad.
