Transportation
The City is served by I-70; I-75 (20 miles west); I-71 (30 miles south); and US Routes 40 and 68; Ohio Routes 4, 41, 72 and 334. Rail freight service is provided locally by the Indiana & Ohio Central Railroad (IOCR), Conrail, and CN Grand Trunk. Intermodal and reload sites are available. SCAT provides local bus service. Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati International Airports are within 30 to 90 minute drive time.

Industrial Parks

  • -Primeohio Corporate Park is located at the intersection of SR 41 and Interstate 70. Zoned I-2 (Second Business-Industrial) and has city utilities.
  • -Springfield Industrial Park is located east of Selma Road, north of Leffel Lane. Zoned I-1 (First Business-Industrial) and has city utilities.
  • -Airpark Ohio is located at the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport is zoned I-1 (Light Industrial), and is four miles south of Interstate 70 with city utilities.

Education

The city school system includes 2 high schools, a joint vocational school, 5 middle schools, 13 elementary schools, and 7 parochial schools. In addition, Clark State Community College and Wittenberg University are located within the city. Within a 25 mile radius there also exists Wright State University, the University of Dayton, Antioch College, Cedarville College, Sinclair Community College, Urbana University, Central State University, and Wilberforce University.

Library Services

The Clark County Public Library provides services through the main downtown facility along with four branches and three bookmobiles. Over 300,000 volumes are available. A 100 seat meeting room is also available.
