My Name is Evelyn Gabriel
 

I was born in Guatemala City on February 21 ,1983.
I am blessed to live with my parents.
When I was ten years old, My parents, my brother and I 
came to this country, specifically to Chicago.
Everything seem so different and we were tremendously 
confused.
I started school, six months after we came to Chicago, It was so hard for me to communicate with the rest of my classmates.
I remember the teacher given me some math problems, I did them correctly and she said that I was in the same level like her students, it made me feel confident.
After a few years had passed, I began to learn English , as well as to write it.
My grades in school started to improved
I became sociable 
I met a girl named Sonia, we became inseparable
Now she is married and has a baby boy named John
We still keep in touch and sometimes she comes over to my house or vice versa, I go to her house.
It was hard for me and my family to learn English, to get use to this country and to somehow not to frequently miss Guatemala
The only thing left for me to say is that 
"The Journey has Just Began"
There are many experiences left to live 
and
My Family and I will always be in the process of learning, Hoping and Dreaming.
