Veronikah just sat there, trying to take everything in. She wanted to wake up from this horrible dream. She wanten out. This couldn't be real.

What she needed was a drink.

She walked into the kitchen and got a glass, then filled it to the top with water. She drank it all in about two minutes. She sat down, then tried to think. Everything just ended. There would be no wedding. She had no boyfriend. She had no fiance. She was going to start over. There would be nobody to turn to anymore. Nobody except her friends and family. David was gone.

That's when Veronikah broke down.

Veronikah picked up the phone and dialed her parent's phone number. Her mother picked it up after two rings.

"Veronikah, I'm so happy to hear from you! How are you and David? I can't wait until the wedding, I'm so proud of my little girl..."

"Mother, there's not going to be a wedding" Veronikah said, trying her best not to cry.

"What? Why not? Did you two get in a big fight and call the whole thing off? Because if ya'll did you better make things straight rite this-"

"No mom, David got killed in a car acciedent this morning." Veronikah said, bursting out in tears.

"Oh Roni, I'm so sorry! This is horrible news, poor David. Did they tell you how the accident happened?"

"No, I dropped the phone, and I only heard that he was dead in a car accident. I'm glad that he didn't feel any pain though, because they said he died instantly."

"That's is a good thing that he died instantly because if he lived through that but he was going to die still then he would have been put through a lot more pain." said Veronikah's mother, trying her best to give good reasons to why he died instantly.

"Yes mother, well tell dad what heppened and give Jason and Krista a kiss for me. I'm gonna go now."

"Ok sweetie, if you need anything, call us and we will get it for you. We love you and we miss you. Bye sweetie."

Bye mom, I love ya'll too."

Veronikah hung up the phone, not knowing what to do next. She needed to get out of this place, and soon, because this place reminded her of David. Everything reminded her of him. She figured she could call her best friend, Kasei, and tell her what happened and what she should do. That's when an idea popped into her head.

"I'll start a new life. I'll be strong, and move on. Like David always told me to do.

"I'll move to Orlando, Florida, where I always wanted to live in the first place.
